They may as well download the full IE7 and do it offline or behind their firewall which is set to block everything.

SP2 was a good thing, you -should- want to upgrade. There will be a ton of security fixes and much more.

You should remove the part where it disables error reporting. Services should never be disabled.

Untrue, it checks for invalid product keys. SP2 will not install on machines with FCKGW keys.

They said around the time of Vista's release. Given that they have said it will be November of this year, hopefully SP3 will be out before the end of the year or the start of the new year.
