Yes, very professional looking now. It's also possible to have the "Community...you bet" statement on a 'speech bubble' coming from the globe itself (smaller, unobtrusive, so as not to distract from the main title). Also, I've noticed that the main thread text (what you're reading right now) is more grey than black. Any way to darken it up to be a better contrast to the white/grey background?
-
I love it! Finally the subscription choices are integrated into the user profile. I like the theme too. Not sure about the "Community...you bet" logo though. Well done n1k!

All right! Well done. I'll give this a try and report back. *Edit Shouldn't the .inf entry be changed for x64? [SourceDisksNames.x86] 1="Cab Files","CabMaker2.ex_",,"I386" And to install in a running system, just right-click .inf and select "Install"...right?

I doubt it's Eset, I use it and everything is fine. It must be another utility. Do either of you use the photo slideshow gadget in your sidebar? I remember Rick found a memory leak in his sidebar addon for XP with that gadget. The only items I have in my taskbar are: AnyDVD Asus Xonar audio utility Eset ESS PowerISO Skype

I installed this on my netbook testbed and the M$ tool kept wanting to block the Intel graphics utilities (3) and my Synaptic touchpad driver on every boot. What a piece of sh*t! I'm going back to Eset!

[Request] How to make XP 32bit & 64bit in one CD or DVD ?
Mr_Smartepants replied to LionHE@RT's topic in Microsoft Windows XP
I wouldn't bother with Ghost. It's crap! I use Acronis true image and it's very nice. It has a free trial too. To build a multi-os disc, you can try Siginet's PowerPacker. It hasn't been updated in a while, but I use it and it works great. I don't know if it works with x64 though. -
Odd. svchost.exe hides memory usage sometimes. I use Eset Smart Security. I've also used Symantec Endpoint Protection but Eset is better.
-
Holy Crap! If this can make multiple files into a single .cab under Win7 x64 you'll have my undying gratitude! I can finally get rid of TugZip.
-
Well, mine's been on all day with no restarts. Still sitting at 18% RAM usage (I have 8GB). It spiked to 55% usage when compressing driverpacks with 7zip, but then dropped when finished. When you're in task manager, click "show processes from all users".
-
I also run Win7 x64 (Pro). I haven't experienced this bug, but I usually turn my computer off between uses. I'll leave it on all day and see what happens.

[Addon] SUPERAntiSpyware Professional v 4.0.0.1154
Mr_Smartepants replied to LUZR4LIFE's topic in SVCPACK Addons
SuperAntiSpyware is AWESOME! I've used it many times to save clients systems (not my own...yet). Best part is it's free. Here's the link to the comparison between the Free version and the $30 Pro version. http://superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html @LUZR4LIFE, This addon is the Pro version. Have you figured out how to include your pro key? Or just a separate .reg install line? -
LOL, you need to update your screenshot. It's still at version 1.0.3.0.

Let us know how the build goes. -
I can only download dancer packs 1, 3, 5. The other dancer packs and the dancer app are unavailable. Esnips keeps asking me to login. Any other download location? Edit Nevermind. Esnips has a download limit.

LOL, Thanks. My daughters like the swing dancers and the cowboy.

Oooh, very nice! Definitely go for the 1066 RAM (watch your latencies). The board is DDR2 so RAM is going to be dirt-cheap...go large! 4GB minimum, 8GB if you can stretch it. That board should make a really nice HTPC should you decide to go that route in the future. Nice choice! -

That PSU would be perfect if you added one of these 8-pin connector converters for the mobo I recommended. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16812198003 http://www.newegg.co...N82E16812186088 Either will work at just over $3 investment! -

I love Gigabyte boards! I've never had a single problem with them. Never skimp on your mobo! If you can stretch your funds... Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P ($80) CPU: Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz quad-core ($99) RAM: Crucial 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR3 1333 ($39) Total: $218 ccl0 is right, you need to look at your PSU also since newer boards (like above) have different power connectors than the older ones. A decent 400W (plenty!) will set you back $60. -
XPtsp GUI v3.0.0.26 - February 27, 2012
Mr_Smartepants replied to dougiefresh's topic in XP Theme Source Patcher
I also get an advanced INF failure (I think it's WMP*****.inf, I'll doublecheck) when using with Media Center Edition. For my MCE, I use my same XP Pro SP3/IE8/WMP11 source, then add Ricktendo's XP to MCE addon with his Win7 MCE mod. This setup works flawlessly with Bober's XPtsp Batch file so I don't know what the GUI is doing to break it. This MCE source is also affected by the same Home boot bug (reports at boot as XP Pro). So to recap, the XPtsp GUI only works (for me) with XP Pro. What do you need me to do to help fix this? -
Very nice. Thank you.

XPtsp GUI v3.0.0.26 - February 27, 2012
Mr_Smartepants replied to dougiefresh's topic in XP Theme Source Patcher
Nope. Bug is still present using XPtsp 2.0.0.4 with green.7z (md5: 1f761c9aca1baf40ea936b98c5a7cdcd). Any ideas? -
Jatti, Can't you just download the RTM again and reburn to a DVD-r (not r/w)? Didn't you keep a copy of the .iso? Your other option is to clean the scratched disc. As long as the scratches don't reach the dye layer, the plastic outer layer can be polished. I've fixed several scratched discs using normal toothpaste as an abrasive (don't laugh! It works.) Rick, do you need the drive itself or DVD/RW discs? PM me.
-
From what I've read...no. In order for the upgrade disc to install, a licensed & activated copy of Vista needs to be installed. They removed the 'fake' upgrade option (install Vista with no key, then upgrade that install with Vista upgrade key.)
-
The site mentions nothing about full/upgrade but the picture on the main page has "upgrade" in the corner. I'd be shocked if it were the full version.
