Thanks Mr_Smartepants. I know that the data is stored on the platter, but wasn't sure if the fir could have gotten to the platter. It was a quick fire, it didn't do to much damage. Hopefully I can find a HDD that is close to the same version. Thanks again.

I friend of mine was unfortunate engough to have lighting strike his house and take his PC out. Yes it took it out because he did not use a surge protector. I tried to recover things from the drive but then one of the chips caught on fire. is it possible that the data is still some what good on the drive? Also Is it possible to replace the IDE board with another? I am not sure if you can switch IDE boards. THANKS

THANKS. I pulled the sounds from 7, though they sound just like Vista, I believe they are the same. I actually have another pack coming out probably today, I just have to do a XPCD install with it. I am going to redo this one with the SevenXP theme.

Sorry, it was hard to explain. Kel helped me ou though. What I was trying to say was. I know how to add files through .ini but was wanting to add them through .inf. Kel told me that I can combine the 2.

What you need to do is use a cabtool to cab all of the files program files together, then cab or 7z the cab file you made with the 2 .inf's and your done.
