  1. I am not very good at Sil.Ins. but you may need to use a dif. switch. Post the program name, I am sure Rick or someone will need that info.
  2. ImageShack has a thumbnail option also.
  3. Is there supposed to be a download link?
  4. He is one of my favorite comedians so I want to do a little tribute.
  5. Welcome to WinCert
  6. I am using a q6600.
  7. The default install should be the same as the install, also you have 2 CopyFiles in the install. Try this. [Version] Signature=$Windows NT$ [Optional Components] Unix [DefaultInstall] CopyFiles = Unix.Files,Wgetrc.Files AddReg = Unix.AddReg RegisterDLLs = LaunchAdvancedInstall [Install] OptionDesc = %UnixDisplayName% Tip = "Gnu Unix Utilities AddOn By Kal" Modes = 0,1,2,3 RunPostSetupCommands = Unix.Add.Path:1 CopyFiles = Unix.Files,Wgetrc.Files AddReg = Unix.AddReg RegisterDLLs = LaunchAdvancedInstall [Unix] RegisterDLLs = LaunchAdvancedInstall [LaunchAdvancedInstall] 11,,rundll32.exe,,,"advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %1%\%MAIN_INF%,Install" It's been awhile for me but, give it a try.
  8. When I try to install on VMW it just resets in VMW. I twill not even boot. All other XPCD's I have recently made (8 in total) work fine without the patch. I have also rebuilt 2 more XPCD's with no luck. If I patch with V'ISO, I have no issue. Not sure what is causing the issue and unfortunately, I don't have enough knowledge yet to help you guys. :crying_anim02:
  9. Yes, it would be nice for a patcher that only changes the ICONS, since a lot of people create their own files.
  10. Unable to run in VMWare after patching. Is there a fix other than making a ISO with something other than nLite?
  11. OK, I will give it a try.
  12. OK. Thanks for a response. I did XP Pro with no issues as always, just couldn't do a Home Ed.
  13. Hey Rick, not sure why but I am unable to patch a home edition. At around 30% the app. closes. Thanks
  14. I am stupid also. :ranting:
  15. Thanks. I found all the info on PE, including a youtube vid. LOL. Will try when I get time.
  16. Ricks V'ISO
  17. LMAO, who hasn't been in that situation. I had 8 different user ID's at a place I used to work at and they had it setup where you couldn't use the same ID or pass which also changed monthly. Put cool, you have actually done it.
  18. Thanks N1K. I have seen that when I googled it, there are also backdoor passwords but I was hoping that someone has actually done it before.
  19. Yes, before it will start to load Windows.
  20. I have a laptop that has a password protected HDD, is there any way around it? This is a Dell laptop that requires a password for the HDD to load the OS. THANKS
  21. Hey Rick, just used this one, I like that you add the OOBE MOD, great work Orbit30.
  22. I have 3G in my system and use around 1800MB when I have VMWare running.
  23. OK, Thanks. Try this. Also why did you change the file names? [BFNE.AddShortcut] Name =Batch FileName Editor CmdLine =16422,%Bfedir%,Nameditor.exe SubDir =Batch FileName Editor 4.5 WorkingDir =16422,%Bfedir% InfoTip =Batch File Renamer [Uninstall.AddShortcut] Name =Unistall CmdLine =16422,%Bfedir%,uninstall.exe SubDir =Batch FileName Editor 4.5 WorkingDir =16422,%Bfedir% InfoTip =Uninstall Also take a look at this. Batch FileName Editor 4.5 Sometimes shortcuts will not work so here is an alternative. I have not tested it yet, I need to setup a XP on VMW. All you need to do is use the modded .inf, add the 2 files to your .cab and arc. Let me know if that worked.
  24. Can you give me a link for the 4.5 exe, I can not get it to DL? Also, there is a 5.3 out.
