@ccl0 I face the same issue as you do aswell. My iso has reached 7gb in size. However, removing components (If I remember correctly about a dozen or so) did not yeild muh more than a 1gb in savings. If it helps any, I removed all themes (except the default aero theme) and some other components like sticky notes, media player stuff, dvd maker and other non essential accessories.

@Compstuff I agree with you, however, I think that kormann may have hit and run on this one. I don't why the creator didn't host this addon with mediafire.com where no sign up is required.

Just my opinion, but it think that in the interest of time it would be much more productive to do a new integration from a fresh untouched source to restore WMP. It is much quicker to rebuild your image than it would be to re-invent Win Toolkit. I am confident that WTK will eventually be able to restore WMP as you suggest, just not in this version . Perhaps a request for this feature would prompt the developer to implement such a feature in future releases of WTK.

Remove a few context menu items This may help someone out but i have found in windows 7 that if you leave the context menu on, you still have the option to share folders within libraries (well, you get all the way through until you are asked to input an administrator username and password) and Include in library, also, if you have MS Groove installed (Shared Folder Synchronization) this shows up too. I have found thre Reg keys which need to be deleted to remove these options in the context menu ... Remove "Share with" from Context Menu Delete the following Reg entries (can be done via Group Policy): HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\Shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Sh aring HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shellex\ContextMenuHan dlers\Sharing Remove "Include In Library" from Context Menu Delete the following reg entry (can be done via Group Policy): HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandle rs\LibraryLocation Remove "Shared Folder Synchronization" from Context Menu This needs to be a .reg file which you run to delete the entry, it will not work via the Registry part in Group Policy [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{6C467336-8281-4E60-8204-430CED96822D}]

It's as you say Kel, WPI can be made to copy files over to the target system drive prior to executing. I have edited my post to be clear that WPI does not copy files to the system driver by default. Sorry for the confusion folks.

I know this model well also. The setup for this model is pretty straight forward. As I said, your ISP well surely be able to assist you in getting your modem to work with your reouter. FYI: Removing components from a Windows image can cause problems for you in the future. For example you may have problems when a new Service Pack is released and you try to install it. Bingo! This is where your problem is. The problem is with DHCP and DNS. Dirección IPv4 de configuración automática: 169.254.74.160(Preferido) This sort of problem can be verry difficult to troubleshoot via forums, But I am sure if you speak to your ISP and provide the technician with the same information you posted. They will know and tell you how to configure your modem and router to work with their network. Your modem needs to be configured to be be on the same subnet as your router and DHCP needs to be disabled on the modem. Your modem has a built in router, so when you plug your Alcatel Modem which is also a router in the WAN port of your TL-WR740N, both devices start to conflict with each other because they are both acting as DHCP servers (Routers). This is why you are getting the 169.x.x.x IP and a conflicting subnet. Not to mention DNS errors. Trust me, call your ISP and they will help you setup both devices to play nice. Why are you using two routers. I assume one provides Wireless and the other does not.

Where can I find the silent switch settings for an installer that I already integrated? I know that the installer can be found in %DVD%/Apps/*, however I dont see any configuration files in the folder. I've also searched thru the mounted registry and cant seem to find the switches in there either. Can I just add the installer in a new session and have it overwrite the one from the previous session? If I remove an installer from the apps folder. How does Win Toolkit installer handle the missing addon during First Desktop load (RunOncce)? Any insight would be much appreciated.

it looks like your router is not communicating with the WAN connection. It also appears that your Modem is not on the same Subnet as your modem. Can you plug the modem directly to your PC without going thru the router and run "ipconfig /all" This will allow us to determine if your modem is infact on the same subnet at your router. Do you know how to access your routers configuration page? For this you would need to plug the modem directly to your PC and access it's local IP address with a web browser example http://192.168.0.1. I strongly beleive that your problem lies within a conflicting DHCP setting on your Alcatel Modem.

I usually use the component remover in 1.4.0.77 to locate the unwanted update package by it's KB number and remove. I've done this about a dozen times without any adverse effects. In fact I'm about to remove about 6 updates that are not on McRip's server. Hope this is of some help. Best regards. EDIT :: With respect to yor suspect SFX entries. You could always delete the folder from the apps folder and remove the RunOnceEx registry entry.

@reptilicus These lights will typicaly flash even if you are receiving errors. At least it shows that their is some sort of trafic passing thru. The "Server not found" error is most likely occuring because something on the WAN (ISP) side of the network is not configured right. Hence, this is why you are getting the "Check Router's Connectivity" error form your routers setup wizard. WAN type (PPoE) is for DSL / ADSL Connections. With this type of connection you need to enter your DSL user name and password from your ISP in to the routers configuration. Also, you need to verify that only one device (Modem or Router) is actincg as a DHCP server. Not both. DHCP is what gives all computers connected to the LAN an IP adddress. Having DHCP enabled on both devices will cause the types of errors you are experiencing. On the other hand if you have a Cable connection (Non-DSL) then your WAN type has to be set to Cable or DHCP and does not require you to enter a user name or password to access the WAN (Internet Gateway). Also only one device can act as a DHCP server. LAN connection can be tested by sending a ping to any known IP address that is connected to the LAN (example the IP address of your router), but i would'nt worry about the LAN until you have the WAN sorted out. What happens when you try to ping a WAN address for example "ping microsoft.com" Can you bring up a command prompt and type this "ipconfig /all" without the quotation marks and post the results. It would realy help in pin pointing the problem. Also what is the Model # of your ISP's Modem?

KB2670838 Failed to integrate Windows 7 SP1 (7601) Anyone else have the same issue? EDIT :: This update integrates fine when adding it to Advanced :: Silent Installers using the /Q switch. KB2670838 can not be integrated as an update in 1.4.0.77. Version 1.5 does not have this issue.

Using either method how would I go about adding the registry keys needed to enable the logo [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OEMInformation] "Logo"="c:\\windows\\system32\\OOBE\\OEMLogo\\OEMLogo.bmp" Is it posible to use the %SystemDrive% variable when adding the key to the registry?
