  1. yep. i was about to post this too. looks like i was not the only one who can't use the full editor

lol well looks like they pulled windows 7 completely from there. theres still a bunch of other crap like xp and vista, but thats probably not what anyone would want glad i got in when i did
  3. you should update your first post with the most current release. putting other updates and releases halfway down the page is likely to confuse people.
  4. my eyes must be getting bad lol

there is something unusual about it this has happened to me every time i've tried to comment on one of the front page articles for example this http://www.wincert.net/news/1566-windows-7s-64-bit-troubles.html i would type my comment but then after i submit it.. the little busy icon would just keep spinning and spinning. sometimes i'd wait several minutes, but nothing would change. so i would just close the tab, thinking my comment would not go through. then later i checked back and it actually DID go through
  6. hehe you said that last time too i guess i could just ctrl + to make the text larger
  7. one thing i like is how the forum lists are easy to read. but one thing i don't like is how inside the forum the text inside is a little difficult to read example: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7995/ouchok.jpg on the right, you can see that the topics inside the forums are about the same size as the sub-text in the main forum listings. and the second line of text is even smaller. could it be possible to use a more bold font like how it is on the left?
  8. i really like this (new?) dark theme apparently its called "delicate blue"

just wanted to add that there is now a more strict policy for registering. i would assume that this is because of a massive influx of people signing up lol i updated my first post to reflect that you do indeed have to be a student.

i greatly dislike DRM and anything associated with it... but having said that, i am willing to overlook it for $19 hmm actually those 7 points do have a grain of truth to them. for example how they were found to be and have a monopoly. haven't they had to pay massive fines in europe b/c of that?

if it has a heat spreader then it will be slightly less a pain in the ass. the mobo(s) in question might need a bios update though
  13. i think its impossible. i tried but nothing changed the color, so probably the only thing you could do is modify the theme yourself, or use an alternative. i think this one http://georgeharrison.deviantart.com/art/Concave-VS-64097892 should work
  14. take a larger screenshot of what you are talking about

maybe it only works for people in america. i have no way of knowing if it works for people in other countries my experience is it went smooth as can be. edit: here is a screenshot of me logged into my msdn account via acm. you can see the acm logo in the upper left corner. i also left you a message in the screenshot to prove its actually my account i'm using http://img43.imagesh...3/6610/yayz.jpg oh the url shows its really from msdn as well

i wasn't sure if i should post this but i recently did it myself and it worked. i stumbled upon this topic http://www.overclock...19-4x-win7.html basically you can sign up for an ACM (association for computing machinery) account and as an added bonus in a couple days you can opt in for msdn-aa account as well. (all steps are described in the link above). here are a few notes from my experience: a. can only pay with a credit card. visa, master card or american express b. if you sign up on a friday be prepared to wait the weekend. i registered on a thursday and only got everything validated monday. c. its suppose to be for college students who are currently enrolled or have recently graduated. you must list a school and date of graduation d. (removed this b/c it is no longer valid) e. some colleges already offer discounted/free microsoft software for students. so if you are actually enrolled check your school first and see what they offer. anyway, i only decided to post this after it confirmed it actually worked. i registered and got access to msdn-aa and got 4 retail windows 7 keys edit: today i got an email. i thought i'd post it for everyone to see. "It is important for ACM to verify that the individuals taking advantage of the ACM Student Academic Initiative are indeed students. Therefore, we are asking you to provide us with the information below by Friday, Sept. 25th. * The Name of Your Faculty Advisor * Your Student Identification Number " so basically you DO have to verify you are a student.
  17. there is no white luna theme. there is silver, olive and blue (which is the default color).. unless you are using 'classic' as mentioned above
  18. i thought it was blue by default

well if you can swing $123 then maybe this would be something you'd be interested in http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=40&threadid=2332549&enterthread=y
  20. yes, you won't notice anything with such a small overclock. most people only do it for gaming but in general every day use it does not really serve much of a purpose
  21. ccl0 replied to LUZR4LIFE's post in a topic in Hardware Field
if i had to do it all over again i would not have. it was basically a pain in the ass making sure everything would work together
  22. if you bought from a major manufacturer then look for the recovery partition or recovery cd
  23. ccl0 replied to ccl0's post in a topic in Addon Discussion
addon is a generic term. and why would you need one if you are using the most up to date integrator
  24. there are many factors involved in overclocking. main thing is how high can you go but still have stability there is a lot of information to sift through, so i'd first suggest gathering all the info about your system. what processor it uses, type of ram, the type of motherboard etc from there you might be able to narrow it down more by searching 'how do i overclock x processor" where x is whatever one you might have i can tell you though if you have a computer from a major manufacturer like hp or dell then you are out of luck. they disable more advanced bios options and you are pretty much stuck with what you got

after a long time patiently waiting, someone finally made an addon for it :giveheart: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7544
