  1. well i might have figured it out. not sure why it did this, but the funky shadows went away. usually when i try a new visual style i just double click on the the visual style file and it loads up. basically the first time i tried yours i did exactly that and i ignored the theme file. well just now i double clicked on the theme file first and there was a brief pause but nothing happened. then i double clicked on the visual style file and loaded it up as normal. no white shadows and no green colored background.
  2. A dark blue Aurora looks nice. how did you make these? i've always wanted to try
  3. yes, thats correct. i'm using 48px size icons. reason being i've got a large resolution monitor and using 32 makes everything too tiny. maybe you could make an optional one in the future with the larger sizes in mind? also about those white shadows.. i've never experienced that behavior before. as you can see from that screenshot, those folders are names of other visual styles i'm currently using... and only when i used your visual style did i experienced this occurrence. i cant say why, but when i use yours it basically changes the color of the background(to that green color in the screenshot) and also the shadow color to white. i forgot to mention earlier that i'm using xp sp2. would that have anything to do with the shadows? oh and it looks like theres a small bug with the minimize button area. basically the left side of the button is 'inactive' when you mouse over it. for example, normally when you mouse over the button there is a color change/ highlight. but if you mouse over on the left size, nothing happens. and its not just a graphical error, but clicking on that size does not minimize the window. http://img355.imageshack.us/my.php?image=aaasn8.jpg i've tried to give a close approximation of the area that i'm talking about (that half transparent pink area)
  4. well i tried it out and find it quite unusable. there are two glaring problems that i could immediately see. i've made a screenshot to elaborate http://img65.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ughbz3.jpg out of the two, i think those white shadows around the icons are the worst
  5. hmm actually it looks like they (maybe?) disabled the firefox plugin until the next release.. which according to this post http://www.foxitsoft.com/bbs/showthread.ph...7737&page=3 should be at the end of this month
  6. actually foxit IS free. and theres no crapware.. not sure where you got that from. theres a 'pro' version thats not free, but i've been using the free one for a couple years now. theres one with a 'toolbar' (which might be what you are referring to?) and one without http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/ edit: i saw you didnt want to include additional software. i'm not sure if theres just a plugin from foxit in there or not. not sure about that pdf addon either, i've never used it but that looked like the best one i found on the mozilla site
  7. not sure if these will help https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/636 http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Openin...+within+Firefox also if people use foxit, or pdf-xchange viewer those two come with a firefox plugin i believe http://www.docu-track.com/home/prod_user/P...ols/pdfx_viewer

  13. looks like there was a new release yesterday: http://blog.digsby.com/ The new Digsby is here! We just released Build 32 (r17926) which is the culmination of a massive effort to improve performance, improve connectivity, fix most of the remaining bugs, and add some new functionality to boot. Major changes in this release include: * RAM Usage: We optimized from the ground up and fixed memory leaks to lower RAM usage by almost 75%. This has been the number one complaint since our launch and we are proud to introduce this massive improvement. * Performance: User interface elements draw twice as fast for better performance. We have made changes to the architecture that will improve GUI responsiveness and CPU utilization across the board. * Connectivity: Every IM protocol automatically tries multiple connection methods and ports to improve the odds of getting through restrictive firewalls and proxy servers. * LinkedIn: Digsby now supports LinkedIn in addition to the other social networks. Functionality includes a full newsfeed, alerts when new messages arrive, and the ability to set status right from Digsby. * Bug Fixes: We have fixed hundreds of bugs, making Digsby more stable than ever. There have been almost 3,000 revisions in our codebase since the last release so there are too many fixes to list in our changelog.
