I won't lie. that was my first thought too

yes, in the future the bug forum will be great, but now theres all those arrows. i guess those are the redirects? i also think the suggestion for a solved bug forum is a good idea as well. but thats just my opinion
-
currently there is just one forum for miscellaneous wintoolkit issues/questions, and everything gets lumped into there. http://www.wincert.net/forum/forum/179-win-toolkit/ it makes it hard to 'navigate' amongst all of it. since work on wintoolkit has picked up again, there have been new builds and consequently new bugs. so most of the topics on the first page in there are existing issues, bug reports, and solved bugs. but all the question topics get pushed way down as a result. so my suggestion is either a new 'bug' forum, or a 'general help Q/A' type forum

can you please update? thanks

hey mooms, i'm curious what is the difference between the one from steven4554 and yours? http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/10811-14-novembre-2013-packs-de-maj-gdr-pour-windows-7-sp1/ in the past i would just use WUD with the file from steven4554. i don't really know much about it or the differences or similarities between the two

After integrating updates the integrate tab also shows 11 themes
ccl0 replied to xerkon's topic in Win Toolkit
i remember that happeneing to me too. it was either 'remove' them and have black boxes or ignore them. i chose to ignore them -
that windows updates downloader looks familiar. i think i was using that program with this http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/139877-post-sp1-updates-for-windows-7-updated-08102013/ although it might be the same .ulz file that you can get from the 'wud' website. not really sure what if any difference there is. and looks like the msfn forum has changed since the last time i've been there
-
how much space do you think would be needed?

thanks for the links. last time i was working with ie9 (thats how long its been for me lol) i was using links from but the site must have changed a bit since then b/c i could no longer find anything edit: something must have happened since i've been away b/c i can't seem to post anything with links to hotfix2.cesidian.info. for example the forum seems to automatically remove the link after i submit the post. are these links blacklisted now for some reason? it probably does not matter too much since the old links i used to use are not even working anymore anyway
-
thanks edit: just making sure, do i need both the .exe and .cab file for win toolkit integration? sorry, i'm a bit rusty with all this
-
hi, i haven't been following this forum for a few months now so i'm not sure if this has been discussed already. but today i saw that microsoft released ie11 for windows 7. since i am admittedly quite rusty with the procedure etc. i was wondering if anyone could point me towards where i can find the ie11 files to integrate with win toolkit. thanks

i don't have a solution, but i have noticed something kind of annoying that is similar. i found if i worked with a build, stopped midway, exited wintoolkit and came back later to work on it, the .iso would double in size. when i'm finished, i'll get an .iso thats 7+gb :dizzy: however, if i start and work on it and not close the program (basically complete everything in one sitting) then my .iso size would be more normal 3-ish gb. its kind of annoying that theres no 'check' to see whats been done, or to prevent it from doing whatever it does that makes the .iso balloon to twice its normal size.

i'm just glad to help if someone finds them useful. i haven't used Imdisk but saw the topic about a ramdrive. since imdisk is open source maybe something can be done to get it working with wintoolkit. also, there seems like theres a bunch of other little utilities on the website http://www.ltr-data.se/opencode.html/
-
i came across this today. ImDisk not sure if it would be useful for anyone

i'm not sure. but it was an oem background image. not sure how i can find out that information edit: i ran a test... and i can't tell if it got further compressed or the resolution altered in any way... so i guess there is a built in check (maybe?) which is what i was hoping for
-
under advanced -> tweaks -> start-up & shutdown -> change logon background it says it will automatically convert the picture to all resolutions and compress them.. my question is, what if the file is already 249k? i believe thats the max file size allowed for background images. will wintoolkit still try to compress it?
-
i actually didn't know about that. i had assumed incorrectly removing actually removed the files. thanks for the info

hm. Quadro NVS 135M is based on the 8400 series. i seem to recall there was a lawsuit way back regarding nvidia selling faulty gpu chips. http://hothardware.com/cs/forums/p/51200/382885.aspx not sure if yours is covered but your laptop was built around the same time. it could be you just lucked out and the defect didnt show itself until now.
-
curious, does it back up oem folders too? i've been using this to do it

after lots of research and online help i was able to find all the pieces to the theme. i found out that you can open a .theme file with notepad and see where all the file locations are. with that info i was able to save all the images/bakgrounds etc so i can re-create the theme manually.

actually i was referring to the one above mine. it looked strange with no reply counter. (despite there being replies within) but from what you've mentioned it must be normal behavior. i was not aware that arrow symbol <- meant a moved topic
