In addition to the existing prerequisite updates listed in MS KB article 2847882, these two Windows 7 updates need to be installed or IE11 setup will still fail: KB2882822 - Update adds ITraceRelogger interface support to Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 [2882822 > 32bit download - 64bit download] KB2888049 - Update is available that improves the network performance of Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 [2888049 > 32bit download - 64bit download] The IE11 setup program checks to see if those two other updates are installed and is logged in the IE11_main.log file in the Windows folder. I didn't have those two Win7 SP1 updates installed the first time around when I downloaded & installed IE11 but had the other five prerequisite updates installed. So be sure to integrate these two new prerequisite updates for IE11. I installed IE11 on a clean W7 machine and I observed it installed KB2729094, KB2670838, KB2834140, KB2786081, KB2731771, KB2533623, KB2639308, KB2882822, and KB2888049. After that, I slipstreamed IE11 in a W7 (both x86/x64) with only the first six patches (the underlined ones), which are the ones listed in Prerequisite list for IE11 and I had absolutely no problems. IE11 got installed fine and its running smoothly.
