  1. Firefox - Ayakawa Build There is an addon here that referenced and SSE2 optimized version of Firefox. After reading several reviews on some of the modified Firefox builds. Ayakawa builds seem to be the fastest build and it is updated frequently, with each new release of Firefox. The only issue I have had with the Optimized versions is that Roboform will not register itself with any Bon Echo Firefox. Roboform has no plans to support the Optimized versions.
  2. Thanks rick. I just discovered these the other day. I have tried infs by looking at Mrs Peels addons. Video tutorials are much easier to follow.
  3. Check your mail. I need more info. Since your first post, I have tested more than a hundred different scenarios as I've edited the script and have yet to duplicate the errors you receive. What is the path where you invoke the script?
  4. Updated. Thanks Have any place in mind?
  5. I have rewritten the way it looks for your language. Hope this fixes the problem. Thanks for being patient.
  6. When script starts it should say "Your language pack is {*} - What is inside the brackets? Both errors have been corrected. Thanks I only add the Flash Player plugin. The only others that would be installed are what you currently have installed in Firefox.
  7. Nice pic. Thanks to whoever added it.
  8. I have added some checks to get your current language and download the appropriate files. I thought that I checked the link, guess not. Corrected. Thanks I made some changes to the script, please try v0.3. Please let me know what errors and I can try and track them down. Thanks
  9. Yes. I will see what can be done for other languages.
  10. yes, v0.21 had an error in the script and it took me awhile to find and correct it.
  11. I don't know about updater problems, but I just started using RoboForm and it's not compatible with the Optimized edition. I have gone back to vanilla Firefox.
  12. I have changed the script to create the addon in the current folder. Let me know if this fixes the problem. Thx
  13. The script does not change any of your settings, it just copies them into the proper folders for the installer to use. The homepage is stored in prefs.js and is located in %userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[yourprofile].default. The script places this file into localized\defaults\profile for the installer and then the installer places it into %programfiles%\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile. If you have a profile in %userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, Firefox will not use the files in %programfiles%\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile to overwrite your current profile. The files in %programfiles%\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile will only be used if there is no profile for the current user. This is where all of your user configured items are stored, ie. passwords, bookmarks, user preferences, etc., for the creation of a new profile. These files will only be used to create a new user profile not update a current user profile. I hope I am not blathering and am understandable. And....I hope I have answered the question.
  14. Done It is supposed to copy the completed file to %userprofile%\desktop. I'm not sure why it wouldn't - are you using WinXP or Vista? I will edit the script and add validation at each step, that should fix any problems.
  15. FFaM v1.0.2.11 Updated 23 July 2012 It can be frustrating to manually reinstall Firefox with all its extensions, themes, personas and other add-ons. Even for those administrators who need to deploy Firefox on hundreds of network computers will find it a cumbersome task to do it manually. To assist you in building a silent Firefox installer with all of the settings preset, here is Firefox Addon Maker. Features: [*] This is a application written in C# that will create a silent installer. [*] The addons and installers can be created in Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, 32-bit or 64-bit. [*] Choose the current Firefox installation path (if you have more than one version installed). [*] Choose to use your current Firefox Installation to build installers or addons, instead of downloading the same version to create the installer.
