I just started the convenience integration. BTW, I use win 7_64 Home Premium. while doing integration in WTK there were 4 updates that don't integrate properly (message) and wanted to be put with the silents. They are 3020369, 2603229, 3046269 and I believe another ending in 2352. I did not have them go to silent because I believe that 2352 update takes forever to install. but I might be wrong. I will report back with the final results. regards...

I see the new list has 6/22/16 as the date so its very much updated. are you saying to take that 6/22 UL into WUD, download convenience rollup pack (1), the common and convenience rollup and classic updates (50), classic integration (no rdp) (2), IE updates (1), additional updates (4) and integrate them using WTK with a clean win 7_64 sp1 media refresh ISO and I DON'T need the classic updates (151)? Or should I do this to liam's April 2016 ISO? Then the final iso will pass SFC and there will hardly be any new updates when manually checking WU after iso install? regards...

guys it seems from the last page or 2 that you are trying to make as accurate as you can updated win 7 lists. I cannot tell if it will be using the classic updates or the convenience updates (or both). Will this venture make it be able to update as accurately and correctly as possible, a new iso every month for members? regards...

what was (is) confusing is that mooms put a link to kb2852386 which is a deep cleaning msu. the link says its an ADD-ON. so does this go somewhere into WTK when making an updated ISO? when I ran it as a stand-alone after iso installation it says it was not compatible with my system after about a 15 second check... regards...

guys thanks again for this "wealth" of links, tools, info etc. unfortunately it comes with me asking some nubie questions. I try to figure things out first by reading what you guys are doing and the info you trade back and forth among yourselves. I made a new win 7 iso, experimenting, and tried using that deep clean msu you provided. while in my vm after the iso install I ran the deep clean msu and it said it was not for my version of windows. I am using win 7_64 and the _64 deep clean msu. is there a pre-requisite or something else I'm missing? regards...

guys I was experimenting with WTK and the June updates. I took a win 7_64_sp1 media refresh iso and tried integrating the convenience updates. There were 43 of them. the rollout 3125574 never got a green check. instead a ?. when I used the classic updates before this kb2533552 was put in the silent. its taking forever to complete the install. stuck on that KB2533552. also the convenience WTK try failed but the log file is too large to attach...apparently when doing the convenience I am doing something wrong... ps...looks like kb2533552 got into my silent list on the convenience package WTK. somehow liam integrated this KB into his april iso. If I use the Liams april ISO which updates in WUD should I choose? regards...

liam yes this is a good suggestion. july 29th is around the corner and no one knows what Microsoft is going to do with the "free" offer. just one client of many that I have dealt with wanted the free win 10. all others want win 7. NOTE: on the april iso (updated to may 18) having trouble updating in WU>>>>I left the clients computer on overnight. I changed the power options to HIGH PERFORMANCE" so it would not sleep. In the morning the little blue icon was showing near the clock indicating there were updates to be installed. There were only 2 (file validation and june malicious tool). So it seems that what others are saying about WU is true. The servers are slow et al. ISO is GOOD!! regards...

I just ran sfc on this april iso and it passes. I also ran win update on my main computer (using it to write this) and it took a little longer than usual but found 12 new updates which have to be the newest just released. The april iso using manual winupdate has the red X saying it has never been checked or run. Its still checking some 20 minutes or so... if my computer found 12 new updates then it cant be Microsoft servers. I believe lego is making a new iso. maybe that will solve the problem.... regards...

thiersee you have been very helpful. I didn't know anything about this convenience rollup. now I understand much more. so it does seem like its almost a sp2 for win 7? what I am doing as I write is using lego's april iso which I ASSume has the convenience rollup. not sure how he made it. I am not introducing anything update wise from may or june. its almost finished. it has my silent installs and some minor component removals, net 4.6, and some files I use placed on the desktop for convenience. I will do an sfc and winupdate and report back in a few minutes. regards...

I have to say I now disagree with this theory. I just tried updating again. my working computers are getting new updates for defender regularly. On a working computer if you do a manual check for updates and there aren't any win update informs you. on the non working one it just keeps CHECKING. It never ends. Win update is corrupted somehow on my ISO and I can't figure it out. This is no way to create an updated slipstreamed ISO. I am giving people a corrupted win 7 setup from the get go. somehow when all these updates get integrated something is amiss....very frustrating.. regards...

I know this might be difficult to answer but I'm at my wits end. I am using an april 2016 win 7_64 updated ISO made by LEGO. I have incorporated the May 2016 updates from this thread. On some machines I cannot get windows update to find any new updates. It just keeps searching for hours. However on other machines it works fine. It worked on my VM (on my main computer) because I always test the new ISO I create. The latest machine I used it on yesterday still cannot get past finding any new updates. Initially this machine also failed sfc after I used all my silent installs, including mbam, ccleaner, cryptoprevent, GWX, adobe FP, reader dc, googletoolbar. However, sfc corrected the files. I ran sfc again and then it PASSED. I thought that was the reason for winupdate to not work but winupdate still searching. I then took another HD in this machine, did a new install with same ISO and immediately did an sfc (passed) and then checked for updates. It's still searching....grrrr When this iso works this is the scenario: 5 minutes after the installation if you manually go to win update there will be in my case about 12 or so updates ready to get installed. If after 5 minutes you manually go to win update and it wants you to search for new updates I know its futile. In addition I have tried literally a dozen fixes via google searches for a repair and nothing works. spent hours and am totally frustrated. I cant seem to get a working ISO. I wrote to lego and even he is stumped. using wtk 1.5.4.4.... regards....

Liam: Another donation coming after I write this. WTK v.1 has been an indispensible tool for me. I also thank you for updating the wtk win 7 iso's for april 2016 and hope you will do so from time to time. would also be nice if some win 10 iso's are eventually forthcoming. Also hope that v.2 gets finished. keep up the great work. thx buddy... ron

Files on desktop are DUPLICATED

I used WTK v.1.5.4.4 to make my dec 2015 win 7 disk and it passes sfc. in the past when I used rt seven that always and I mean always failed sfc. that was the reason I went on a quest and found WTK. Since using wtk my iso's have always passed sfc. that is why I was so surprised to see it fail (and yes sfc did repair the error(s)). I am using virtualbox and have deleted that particular installation. for now I am sticking with my 12_08_2015 dvd that passes. I am going on an extended vacation so I will not be able to post any log files till I return (APRIL). apparently its one of the new updates. the only other change I made was updating 1 or 2 of the silent installers (adobe reader). The main reason for the post was to alert others. most people I find do not run sfc. thx for the replies. Regards....

I don't know why but my 12/815 win 7_64 home premium iso after installation passes sfc /scannow 100%. I am using WTK 1.5.4.4. after using the 12/8/15 folder and updating it to 1/12/16 the same resulting iso does not pass sfc /scannow. it finds corrupted system files and corrects them but if I have to run sfc after every installation this is useless. regards...

Files on desktop are DUPLICATED
pennsylvaniaron replied to pennsylvaniaron's topic in WinToolkit Bugs
It doesn't seem like the REPLACE check box is doing its job. Or even beyond that it seems that all prior files are always included even though they are not in the newly created ISO. Strange that no one else has responded with similar results. Does anyone have any thoughts, ideas comments? Regards... -
Files on desktop are DUPLICATED
pennsylvaniaron replied to pennsylvaniaron's topic in WinToolkit Bugs
none that I know of. btw, your oct win7_64 iso suffers from the dreaded meet your browser every time starting IE. might want to fix that in the January files you said you might create. more importantly is this bug with the desktop. I even changed the syntax to read %systemdrive%\users\scalzo\desktop\ I use the name scalzo in my unattended file as the user name so I don't have any intervention. wtk completes all the way thru silently... regards
