rhahgleuhargh yes I assume you mean the 4 rdp common updates as stated in my previous post. 2574819 goes in prereq first. the other 3 rdp's are the first updates after the 3 pre req's. I believe I have 48 updates in all for December. If I remove the 4 rdp updates then its smooth sailing. I assume 2574819 is the very first pre req? I just don't get it? regards...

hi I was wondering if someone has some insight into this problem. I have successfully made a win 7_64 HP Convenience iso many times without including RDP updates. This time around (December UL) I decided to include the RDP updates. Previously I posted I was getting an error on the IE11 update but now it's a different issue. here is what just happened: prereq 2574819 gets a green check then 2670838 and 3020369 red circles. regular updates 2592687, 2813347, 2830477 green check then every update after all the way down to the ie11 and 3207752 have red circles to the left (they didn't get updated.) I have all the updates in their correct updating order (1-5) if I remove the (4) rdp updates then everything works. I am using a brand new win 7_64 sp1 iso extracted to new folder on desktop. I apparently am leaving something out?? any ideas? regards...

I have to "un" ditto my ditto. I just ran WTK 1.5.4.8 (I misunderstood before) but now see thiersee's post and I do not get an "update 2nd round" category. My kb3207752 update rollup is in the internet explorer category right below Internet explorer 11. So I do not see any difference from WTK 1.5.4.7. fyi... regards...

Here is what happened. I do not think I included the rdp (4 optional) files when I last made an iso in October. I included them this time for December and it seems that was causing my issue with IE11 (have no idea why). I removed the 4 RDP files and everything went smoothly and according to plan. after installing the dec. iso on VM the only new update (other than MRT and defender def) was 2813347. thanks to all who responded and made the ul list possible again. regards...

I tried it and the reg mods are not it. been using them for 2 yrs. right now I'm just trying the pre req's and the ie11 and the 3207752 (to avoid waiting for all the updates to install) and keep getting a black x on ie 11. very frustrating. is it ok to do a fast update like that or does ie11 need pre req's of its own? I also downloaded ie11 again from wud. that file hasn't changed so this is a dilemma. do the order of the updates matter? also ie11 should go first before 3207752, correct? any other suggestions? this is what happens when I skip a month of updates. I seem to mess things up, although the method seems straight forward month after month. regards

I have been behind in the last page(s) of posts and just want to insure that the November rollup does or doesn't affect my silent kb's. I have been creating win 7_64 home premium iso's. For October my silents included: kb 2533552, 2603229, 2685811, 2685813, 3046269, 3177467. I seem to remember that 2685811 &13 (nfw 3.51) updates when trying to integrate them with all the other updates, afterwards they were still being asked for by WU so I put them in the silent section and now no problems. Does the November rollup affect any of my other silent kb's or should any new ones be added? regards...

rhahgleuhargh yes you (and thiersee) are 100% correct. I did as Thiersee suggested and put 2685811, 2685813 in the silent sfx section. They certainly added to the time to create (maybe 5 minutes is my guess), and when I did a deep clean they were not uninstalled (superseded). So the decision is your on how you want to treat them. For some reason my only deep clean kb uninstall is kb2534111. I had an old link that Liam put on wincert for win 7 iso (you get a Microsoft advert now) and at that time he mentioned this update, kb2534111 being included. I have used the media refresh win 7_64 iso (II think it was the digital river site, the pro version# was 59186, I'm using the home premium, don't have the code). I have also used the latest win 7_64 sp1 oem DL with the latest windows iso downloader (HEIDOC.NET). both versions used have deep clean removing 2534111. any thoughts?

Same exact results here except making win 7_64 HOME PREMIUM iso. I do have a question (again, sorry) about the deep clean results. 2685811 and 2685813 both get uninstalled with deep clean. my question is if I don't include them in the wtk update integration, then they are asked for by WU after iso installation. but if I do include them they get uninstalled by deep clean. So why the installation then uninstallation?? regards...

I just did a small test using the latest wtk beta 1.5.4.6. I just wanted to load all the Convenience UL's into WTK to see what Liam did for us. Wow what a pleasure. All updates go exactly where they belong, prereq's, ie11, and SFX. No more hunting and pecking. Makes life a lot easier! I noticed that the list of updates (after the prerequisites) is in KB# order (lower to higher). From recollection I believe WTK installs them in that order (kb3125574 is in middle). Does that matter? On another subject. I noticed in the rollup.vbs file the syntax says dim hideupdates (7). rhahgleuhargh in a reply post to me said if you add or subtract an update to change this number. in the downloadable rollup.vbs file the first hideupdate is (0) and goes to (7). Isn't that 8 updates to hide and therefore shouldn't the (7) be (8)? Just trying to learn. thx... regards...

Rhahgleuhargh I successfully created a win 7_64 home premium iso using the 10_11_16 convenience UL, placing all the updates as per the tutorial. I also ran the rollup.exe in sfx as is with 7 hidden kb's. after install on VM WU reports 3 updates, defender, MRT and for some reason kb2813347 which is from 2014. Subsequent manual WU reports no new updates. Deep clean uninstalled kb's 2534111, 2685811, 2685813, 3004375. SFC passes. No hiccups! regards...
