Thanks for looking it out. I run patch once more and noticed that you are right. Actually I did have message "XPtsp.inf isn't present on the CD" way back but that is history. I double checked for XPTSP.IN_ and XPTSP.CAB on my source folder after patching and guess what? XPTSP.CAB is missing ,and XPTSP.IN_ is present. Dang I never thought this could went wrong... And other thing I forget to mention last time ...

Many addons...list is way too long and old. I'm not sure what exactly breaks it but I don't have that problem when I use batch patcher. That is why I asked you in the first place (what are the differences between those two). Problem is that something breaks install and many addon don't get installed thus WMP experience problem applying some settings on first logon (errors). I repeat ALL this problems are unknown when I use batch...

Nope,sine I don't have any benefits from it. I anticipated that but I was curious why are they displayed as errors in logs. I believe there are one or two errors that I did not print screen recorded. I'll check with latest version and see how it goes and report back. EDIT: I just tried latest b11 gui patch,and It still breaks my install.

dougiefresh I've had bad luck with you gui patcher to be honest. I tested it many times. Something went wrong not sure what. First I was suspected that WMP11 slipstream is causing some conflicts but in the end I exclude it,and same thing happen. I'm suspecting tht something is interfering with my setup/combination. The funny thing is that bobers batch works any way I toss it. This is last screen I manage to cache on fly while patching?

I silently update addon. Better check your hash.

dougiefresh thanks for quick respond and clear explanation. Actually it's very good, you pointed at right things. I just tried latest 10a build and this time patcher recognizes OS and root directory,but at moment I click patch it's already finished It did not add any files or altered anything,no matter .exe (patcher) locations root or somewhere else.

Yes LOL dougiefresh,I just tried latest gui build (XPtsp_v1.0.10.10) and I'm still experience "browse" problem so I copy it directly to folder and start patching? Does this kind of patching differs over batch patching? Are there any difference in processing?

I like this build beta too,but after I find out for mess and A patch I can't use it if I don't patch it. I MUST patch it,I MUST...L0L.... and this latest A patch release is still quite young.. :crying_anim02:

Hmm..I run into problems when tried to install new beta4 that was silently updated few days back? Has anyone experienced this problem or is it just me?
