  1. As I said, I remove nothing so I won't be the one that can offer any advice. Hopefully someone else can. I don't know what this means: Cheers and Regards
  2. It would be interesting to hear from some of our Scandinavian friends about this "acquired taste" delicacy. I'm also sure there are many other cultures that have their own. From Wikipedia re Surströmming: Cheers and Regards
  3. Personally, I remove nothing. No telling when you might need something later. Lots of luck with that. Please provide complete system specs. Cheers and Regards
  4. To report any Win Toolkit bugs, go here - http://www.wincert.net/forum/forum/209-wintoolkit-bugs/ - and start a new thread for each bug you want to report. (This makes it easier for Lego keep track of them.) But please try and do a search on the forum to make sure that the bug has not already been reported, and perhaps solved. Cheers and Regards
  5. Correct. imagex has been deprecated and its functions replaced by DISM, AFAIK. Cheers and Regards
  6. The author of the app is probably busy with Real Life. You will have to wait. Please be patient and wait quietly. Use the previous version in the meantime if it works better for you. Cheers and Regards
  7. What kind of list? What you can remove? What you can't remove? What you shouldn't remove? Why do you want the list? Have you just tried the tool and seen what you can and can't do? Experiment and let us know your results, what you tried, what happened vs what you expected or wanted to happen, etc. We wait for you. Cheers and Regards
  8. Welcome! Cheers and Regards
  9. Since you are the only one who has mentioned this problem, I would assume it is most likely an issue on your end rather than a problem with the tool. As BrokenZer0 suggested, if you will supply your preset and log files, perhaps someone will be able to point out what you did wrong. Cheers and Regards
  10. I have never seen a legal Windows 7 install disk that specifies that the various OS are "Activated", as the image KAMRULCOX posted shows. And as the link that BrokenZer0 states: And while OEM installations can be pre-activated on the actual hardware they are installed on, I do not believe that any legal OEM AIO install medium has ever been made that has all the various versions all pre-activated on the install medium, especially one that has both Home and Enterprise versions on it. Sorry, KAMRULCOX, I agree with Kel. I think this is warez. You are on your own. Cheers and Regards
  11. It's not too late for you to change the thread title to something more appropriate. Just sayin'... Cheers and Regards
  12. I'm glad the tools are finally getting into sync. I assume that the most up to date lists will be in a defined location so that both tools will always be able to get them, and not have to be updated each month with the new location? That would eliminate a way that the tools could get out of sync. I would also hope that the locations that the downloaded files are stored are compatible with KUC. That would make another tool that would be in sync for a unified set of tools that could be used to update your OS. Cheers and Regards
  13. Indeed! Thanks for sharing. Cheers and Regards
  14. It might help to post EXACTLY what didn't work, ie how do you know it didn't work? What did you expect to happen and what happened instead, or what exact error did you get and where did you get it? What was your total method step by step, and when did you realize it wasn't going to work? What alternate tools did you try and what happened when using each tool? No offense meant, but from your posts above, all I can tell is that you tried several tools, TO THE LETTER, and it didn't work. Cheers and Regards
  15. With the changes in Win Toolkit, I'm looking forward to your updated tutorial of how to use the new download methods, along with KUC, to get a fully updated source, in the easiest and most automated way possible. Cheers and Regards
  16. Correct. That's the idea. Cheers and Regards
  17. Thanks Rick! Cheers and Regards
  18. @Cartman586, I believe that you have used the forum "Report" function to try to report Win Toolkit "bugs". That is not what the "Report" function is for. It is supposed to be used ONLY to report apparent board violations to the moderators. All of your "Reports" have been cleared and will be ignored. For any Win Toolkit "bug" that you want to report, first be sure that you have made a search of the forum to see if it has already been reported and perhaps solved. If it has not, then Lego has requested that a new thread be made in the Win Toolkit Bugs subforum for EACH bug, to make it easier for him to keep track of them. So if there are bugs that you have "reported" but have not made a new thread for, then please do so. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Cheers and Regards
  19. I've read this thread on at least two different occasions, so the "view" count is definitely off. (I've never paid any attention to it.) Unfortunately, I don't use Win8 so I can't offer any direct advice. Besides mooms' suggestion, you could also try some more experiments, even if you're not sure what you're doing, then post what you used and what you did, say what results you got vs what you expected, and maybe that will help get more response. Good luck! Cheers and Regards
  20. Well, of course each computer needs its own, unique, legal key, which you usually get when you get the install DVD. So, three computers needs three three keys, right? If you are talking about wanting to get 8,1 install medium, instead of having to use your 8.0 install medium and update it with 8.1 afterwards, then that's a different question. I'm not aware that such are available from Digital River, as they are for Win 7. Cheers and Regards
  21. At times Lego gets tied up with real life, and he is the only developer, so it might be awhile before a further update. The time between updates sometimes varies wildly. Since you are "desperate", you can help find the problem if you can do some more test runs. 1. Make a build just like the one that causes problems, but use an older version of Win Toolkit, so we can see at what point Win Toolkit changed to cause your issue. 2. Make a build with the latest version of Win Toolkit, but without any silent installers, just to see what happens. 3. Assuming (2) works, slowly add a few silent installers at a time to see if the problem might be related to a particular silent installer. I'm not saying that would mean that it is that silent installer's fault, but it could point to some kind of dependency issue or something. 4. If (2) doesn't work, make a build without any tweaks. Then slowly add them back in as in (3). Bottom line, you want to try and determine if the problem occurs only with a particular installer, or tweak, or group of installers, or if it occurs with any installer no matter which one or how many. Same with the tweaks you use. If none of those tests provide any resolution, the only other thing you can try is to do the same kind of thing with your updates you integrate to see if one of them works better being installed at RunOnce. Upload any logs created and provide a link to them here. I know it's a lot of work, but the more testing and info you can provide the more likely the true problem can be resolved sooner. Anything you can do will help. Cheers and Regards
  22. But I believe the option exists to tell it NOT to move those updates if you are absolutely sure that your install will work correctly without them being moved. Correct? Cheers and Regards
  23. You can. By chance were you using IE11 when it didn't work? I know of at least one other site, MSFN, that has the same "problem". I see this as a fault of IE11, so I just suggest using any other browser other than IE11. Others think it is a problem of the site, or at least a problem of the board software, IP Board. The board software has definitely had it's issues, so I won't completely discount that, but I only use any form of IE when I absolutely have to because I have no other choice, and the board software has been stable now for quite awhile. By all means, feel free to use IE or any browser you like, wherever you like, but just be aware that IE11 does seem to have some issues with sites that use IP Board and I don't know when they will be resolved. If you were using some other browser when you had this problem, please tell us the exact browser you were using and we will see if we can replicate the problem and get it fixed. Cheers and Regards
  24. We do not go around requiring any user to prove they have a legitimate ISO and key. Rather we assume everything is kosher and we try to give any user and question the benefit of the doubt. However, if the user posts an image, code list, or question that proves things are not right then we have no choice but to withhold any further help. Cheers and Regards
  25. Ideally, I would think that this kind of thing should be included in Win Toolkit to clean up after itself Whether it should do so as a default is the question, I guess. Regarding logs, I would think that once everything is working correctly everyone would like it all cleaned up. What good is a bunch of logs that say "successful" after all? But as the user is learning how things work, those logs can be invaluable to help the user, or Lego, figure out what went wrong, so the user should keep all the logs they can until they are sure they have a successful methodology. Cheers and Regards
