Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7
bphlpt replied to abbodi1406's topic in Win Toolkit Addons
Originally I thought all the updates were listed in the 1st post spoiler, but I think that info is about a previous version? EDIT: I'm sure abbodi1406 will clarify the next time he's on. Cheers and Regards -
[Slim] .NET Framework 4.6.1 Full x86/x64 (2-27-2016)
bphlpt replied to ricktendo's topic in Installer Repacks
But, BlueMe, if your question is whether there is any .NET installer out there, 4.0 or 4.5.1, Slim or Full, that if applied to a Fresh install of Win7 SP1 will make it so that the 3.5.1 updates that show in Windows Update won't be needed, AFAIK the answer is still no. As mooms explained, they are different products. 3.5.1 is now part of the OS itself and is no longer an addon like it was in XP. Updates for 3.5.1 will be needed from WU/MU unless you integrate them into your install source, prior to installing the OS, through the use of Win Toolkit, DISM, or a similar tool. Cheers and Regards -
I agree these both seem to be worthwhile enhancements to Win Toolkit. Cheers and Regards

So far, they've only said I was worthless. Cheers and Rdgards

And before anyone asks, even if an OS distribution or application is complete and "stock" and even if the MD5 matches a Technet distribution, if it is distributed by anything other than an officially approved channel, then it is considered warez, and we cannot support that as a board without risking retribution by AdSense and possible "remove" notices by the official owner of the OS or app. So I have removed the offending contact info from public view in malcolmx's profile. Cheers and Regards

Thank you for your service Kel, and your support - at Wincert, re all of your addons, re WPI, and personally. Even if you are not actively participating, I'll still consider you to be part of the team. I can't speak for Nik, but I see no reason to officially remove you from the staff. I wish you all the best, my friend. Cheers and Regards

What did I say wrong? Your initial post was fairly clear, but I didn't understand your reason, so I asked some clarifying questions, including: Which you chose to ignore. You did acknowledge that I seemed to understand your question, but you said: To which I responded in the rather "worthless" way: I suppose that post was not necessary, but my intention was to not have you feel that you were being ignored. I didn't want you to think that I wasn't answering your question just because you wouldn't answer mine. But I guess that's the thanks I get. Cheers and Regaards

Well, I don't know so I won't guess. Maybe someone else will have some ideas. Cheers and Regards

No, I'm not aware that this request is a violation of any kind, but I'm wondering why you want to do this. This obviously only occurs once, at OS install, and if it was not there, I would think that sitting in front of an installing OS with no feedback as to what is happening or how much longer it will be before it is finished would be more disconcerting. And if no one is sitting there watching it, then why do you care what is on the screen or not? Even if you were to just use the standard MS install medium you still have status screens. So what exactly do you not want to see, and what would you want in its place? Or have I totally misunderstood your question? Cheers and Regards

For a very long post it is even more helpful to everyone else if you enclose the code listing in

tags. I have edited ReNoVaTo666's post above accordingly. Cheers and Regards

Thanks. For completeness, here's the direct link for the x64 version: http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/updt/2012/10/windows6.1-kb2647753-v4-x64_ca4e3f204c16f2ca28523d855f06fb4fa0d61ec7.msu By the way, the update catalog also works using IE Tab Classic extension under Chrome. @mooms, I was able to get the direct link for the x64 version by modifying the link you provided with the x64 filename, but how did you get the direct link for the x86 version? Cheers and Regards

Yeah, I was going to suggest looking here, but it seems it is also only v2. So, I can find torrents for it, but where did v4 come from? Is it not an official MS release? Cheers and Regards

We are aware that the .exe does not currently integrate correctly using Win Toolkit. The next release will have that problem fixed. In the meantime, the .cab version should integrate correctly. See this thread for some information about the issue. In the future, please post in English in all parts of the forum that are not specifically meant to be used in another language. And try to use the forum search function to see if your question has already been addressed before posting. Thank you for your cooperation. Cheers and Regards

@alfreire, Rick currently has some computer issues, so will probably be unable to update any of his apps or packs until next month when he is expecting the replacement part he needs to arrive from China. Thanks in advance for your patience. Cheers and Regards

I know it sounds trite, but hang in there Kel. There are some of us that do care about you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you, Cheers and Regards my friend, John

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7
bphlpt replied to abbodi1406's topic in Win Toolkit Addons
No, it appears to be an "add-on"...Better yet, why don't you create your own thread about the problems with your own self created "add-on"? @crashfly, I think you might be a little confused. abbodi1406 DID create his own thread, this one, about his own 'self created "add-on"', which he made with help and advice from Ricktendo, and abbodi1406 is not the one having problems with it, mattew is. Did you think that this was one of Ricks's threads, either this one or this one? They are all named very similarly so it would be an easy mistake to make. I have almost made the same mistake myself. You are correct that Rick makes silent installers, which I personally prefer, but, though I haven't used this one myself, I believe that abbodi1406's entry is an addon, at least it is named as one and Rick did not dispute that designation. And in this three page thread no one else has disputed it either. Cheers and Regards -
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7

Download works fine for me just now. Check your browser extension settings (I had to temporarily disable my KB SSL Enforcer extension in my Chrome based browser), or try a different browser. Cheers and Regards -
Being able to use this download method, combined with locally keeping only the hotfixes, and only downloading whatever hotfixes are missing, seems the most sustainable approach for the long term. Cheers and Regards

[Switchless] Kels Win7 CPL PacKs for x86 & x64 v5
bphlpt replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Switchless installers
Maybe. What are you trying to download? Preferably give more than one example. Cheers and Regards -
From his post I think he meant download links for it and its updates? Also from what I remember there might be a particular order of integration that needs to be enforced to ensure integration with no errors. Cheers and Regards

Yes, welcome back! Yes McRip has quit due to lack of support and I'm sure he got tired of everyone pestering him for updates and his site/server kept getting attacked. I think KUC is still sort of around, but I'm not sure if it's up to date and it seems he has gotten burned out a bit as well. If he is around, he definitely isn't as active. In the meantime, RicaNeaga is trying to take up the slack as you can see here and here. I think that's currently your best option, unless you want to do it manually yourself via MU / WU. We'll look forward to your future work! Cheers and Regards

.NET 2.0 through 3.5 are already included as part of the Win7 OS, both x86 and x64, and the installers of the type used for XP are no longer appropriate. They are updated as necessary through WU / MU. There is at least one report that .NET 1.1 can be installed on Win7, but I have not tried it. EDIT: If you were asking about something to use for XP x64, I don't know the answer to that question. Cheers and Regards
