    Hello =)

Welcome! Enjoy yourself and share what you can with us. Cheers and Regards
  6. I'll be interested in your results and experiences, compstuff Cheers and Regards
  7. Thank you for the information. Could you give a screenshot of Windows explorer or something showing the file/folder structure you mention? Since it is written in AutoIt, would you mind sharing the source? Cheers and Regards
  8. Thanks, but before I would try or recommend something like this I would need a little more info about the program, such as how it is written, ie script or whatever, what are it's assumptions, options, requirements, etc, what exactly it does, step-by-step, and preferably the source so that I could make changes if I wanted. Cheers and Regards
  9. Welcome aboard! Cheers and Regards
  10. Showers would be interesting, but quite a waste in the toilet! LOL Cheers and Regards
  11. @BYTE-ME: I edited the topic title to clarify what you were trying to accomplish. Please edit it again and mark it [sOLVED] when you are satisfied that it is. Cheers and Regards
  12. When you get a chance, please post the file that ends up working for you. Cheers and Regards
  13. Entered there means the task was scheduled, not completed, correct? Cheers and Regards
  14. I'm confused. Why would it "restore your hosts file to it's default"? If you make two copies of your hosts file with all the changes you want to make in it, ie including any other block you need, the only difference in the two copies you make are that one has the facebook block and the other does not, how can overwriting your hosts file with one of those copies possibly "restore your hosts file to it's default"? It's impossible. If this procedure will not work for you, then any script I could make would fail as well. PLEASE NOTE: No discussion or direct mention of warez of any kind, including methods to bypass valid protection methods that some software uses regarding software keys will be tolerated anywhere on this forum. Your comments regarding trying to keep a key from being blacklisted implies that it is not a validly obtained key. Do not mention it, or anything like it again. This is your only warning. Cheers and Regards
  15. There are different opinions as to that, but theoretically it should not impact the performance of your system. (If you used KUC, I believe that you could end up with even more updates installed, at least that used to be the case, which some people consider a good thing. ) Cheers and Regards
  16. I was going to try and make a script for you, but NIM's suggestion is actually the easiest way to do what you want. That is because unlike batch's ability to easily add a line to a text file if needed, it can't easily delete a line. What you end up having to do is copy the hosts file, leaving out the line(s) you want to "delete", delete the original hosts file, and rename the copied file to the original hosts file's name. So just having two copies of the hosts file and copying, or renaming the one you want to use to the hosts file, whichever way you want to do it, ends up being an easier way to do it. Cheers and Regards
  17. I wish that KUC, McRip, WUD, and any other similar tools could "standardize" on a local folder structure where they all downloaded their updates. That way, no matter which method or tool you choose to get your updates, or if one is down for a while for whatever reason, integration tools like Win Toolkit, or even homemade scripts, could all continue to function correctly to do the actual integration. I would think that would also help McRip, KUC, et al by taking some of the pressure off to all make timely updates and provide a backup for their users when they need to take a break. Just a thought. Cheers and Regards

    Happy birthday Liam!
  19. I think I just noticed the same thing. It seemed like the extra line feeds were added in between the tag and text inside the code block. I noticed the extra space after I posted. After editing the post to remove the extra lines, I could not get it to happen again on the same post no matter how many times I tried to edit again. Cheers and Regards
  20. Rick's suggestion is very valid and I wholeheartedly agree with it, but here is something else to consider. What are you doing. exactly, and which app, and which version, are you using when you get the "can't be opened as archive" message? Besides getting that message, is there anything else that leads you to believe that the install.wim is corrupt? Has this worked for you in the past using the exact same procedure and app as now? If you are getting this error message using 7-zip or some other archiver program, have you tried a different one, ie maybe WinRAR or something, or at least made sure that you are using the latest version of the app? You could also try an app meant more specifically to handle WIM files such as ImageX.exe from the Windows Automated Installation Kit. In other words, your problem might not be in the making of the install.wim, but rather with the method you are using to try and open it. Just a thought. Cheers and Regards
  21. Boot from, ie the OS is installed on the External Hard Drive, or Install from, ie the install source is on the External Hard Drive and you are going to actually install to some internal drive in your system? Cheers and Regards
  22. I don't know if you are trying to run the latest version in the same folder that you've used in the past with all the leftover files from previous runs, but I would suggest trying to clear all of that out, compress the old stuff up and store it elsewhere for now if you want, and try to start WinToolkt completely clean, as if it has never been run before on your system and see if you get the same situation. If you still get the above message, exactly when does the message occur? Have you done anything or has anything else happened yet besides booting the program up? Are you running WinToolkit inside a VM or on real hardware? Do you have any antivirus running while WinToolkit is running? I'm just throwing out random thoughts as they come into my head, but maybe someone else will recognize your problem if you can provide further details. Cheers and Regards
  23. @Geej, I assume this is now keyed off of the language of your installed OS, and NOT selectable, correct? So if your OS is English, but you want Foxit in German this will not do that, correct? Just wanted to clear up any possible confusion. Some folks might think this is limiting, but I think it minimizes possible mistakes, so this way is fine by me. Cheers and Regards
  24. @x79, Please try again to post your error log. If necessary, post the log to some other file sharing service, dropbox, mediafire, or whatever, and post the link to the file. Cheers and Regards
  25. The link for the board software is at the bottom of every page - Community Forum Software by IP.Board, Note that the board software is NOT free, though there is a free demo. Cheers and Regards
