  1. While I always appreciate any extra goodies earned as a contributor, I don't care about actually being listed anywhere. I can take or leave that. I agree that it would be nice to motivate contributors to give more than just money, such as their time and effort for beta testing, providing language translations when/if that becomes possible, finding and reporting bugs (preferably helping to find a solution if possible), etc. You could even argue that those who repeatedly help others on the forum to solve problems help Lego by saving him from having to take his time to do it. (Of course we should all do that on the forum with no thought of compensation as a way that we give back to the community. ) But feature "proposers" I'm not sure about. Lego could get flooded with requests to add everything under the sun. He's already been asked by many folks to add all the features that nLite, vLite, RT7Lite, etc ever thought about having. In any case, if Lego decides to create this group, membership should not be automatic in any case, but by invitation only by Lego based on his opinion, and his opinion alone, as to who is truly worthy of his special thanks through this kind of honor. I'm sure that the regular members here would agree with whomever he might choose since their contributions would be obvious. Cheers and Regards
  2. But some of the newer features of Win8 DISM, such as the ability to fully remove a package from the source and yet still have it able to be re-added post install, unfortunately do not work in Win7 AFAIK. So I guess testing would be needed to make sure that using Win8 DISM to make a Win7 build do not create any unforeseen consequences. Worst case, I guess it could be added so that Win8 DISM is used for Win8 builds and Win7 DISM is used for Win7 builds? Cheers and Regards
  3. Like crashfly, lately I have been choosing Seagate drives. I had a bad run of WD drives failing after choosing them for years. Cheers and Regards
  4. Seems so. Cheers and Regards
  5. Working Good! Cheers and Regards
  6. Lego might should put some kind of notice, in LARGE BOLD COLORED print, in the component removal section of Win Toolkit to nip in the bud the preconceived notion of what they should expect from removing components. Cheers and Regards
  7. But if you prefer, if you have them listed/included, but they are already integrated, then they should just be skipped, correct? I mean they won't be added twice, will they? Cheers and Regards
  8. Request filled

  10. I don't know where the link to the newest Beta has gotten to. (Kel linked to the page with the latest "stable" release above.) It is normally on the page linked to in the first post of this thread. But you are right that it has been missing for several days. Cheers and Regards
  11. Hey Rick, I assume you forgot to update the first post with today's date and the MD5: f850040c811326d7ac655d30f6551ba8? Cheers and Regards
  12. Sorry Rick, but for both Eng links I get: Cheers and Regards
  13. I don't think you are going to be able to get the results you are looking for using Win Toolkit, or most any other current reliable tool for Win 7. Two reasons. (1) the size of the .wim with one edition, Pro or whatever, versus with all the editions is just not that big a difference. It will be a little different, but not as much as you might think. And in order to really see whatever small difference there is, I think you will need to completely extract the wim of the edition that you want to keep and remake your install disc using just that edition's wim. (2) As to removing language files and other features of the OS that you wish to remove, Win Toolkit doesn't really remove most of them from the source, it just removes them from the install sequence if you will. So your installed OS footprint is smaller, but the install source not so much. At least that is my understanding. Lego has been talking about implementing removal mechanisms similar to the way that vLite did it which should show a bigger reduction in install source size, but that has not been put in place yet. Cheers and Regards
  14. Looking forward to it caphp! Cheers and Regards
  15. It can always be found here - [http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/10503-bye-bye-v140-hello-v150//url] - but it seems to be MIA right now. I'm sure only temporarily. Cheers and Regards
  16. Has this worked for either of you in a past version of Win Toolkit, and if so, which version, or approximately when, if you are able to remember? Cheers and Regards
  17. SRWare Iron works again. Apparently an AdFly glitch. Cheers and Regards
  18. DL was fine now with the same browser that failed earlier, SRWare Iron. Apparently it was just a AdFly hiccup. Thanks for this Rick! Cheers and Regards
  19. Hey Rick, don't know if this is something new with adfly, but for the first time I've been unable to download from your adfly links. The 5 second countdown timer never starts, I just get a message along the lines of "Please enable cookies in your browser". But they are enabled AFAIK. SRWare Iron with no changes or updates or changes in settings in many months. In fact I was able to DL from your .NET 4.5 links a few hours ago with no problem, but can't now. Any idea what's going on? Cheers and Regards
  20. @Rick, looks like the PCIe x1 card Mark mentioned above might could help you, if you have a slot available. Also available from NewEgg - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815461002'>http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815461002. Or you could just use an adapter like this one - http://www.amazon.com/HighPoint-RocketHybrid-1220-PCI-Express-Dual-Port/dp/B004M8SB2A @Mark, Hey. I used to be a "neighbor" of yours. I used to live half way between the Big Chicken and Merchant's Walk. (As a local you should know exactly where I'm talking about LOL) I now live up near Clemson. Cheers and Regards
  21. @jaynebe, I think what Geej was asking was if you ran GCSE.exe with roe switch from the command line from a path that has a space in it, such as "My Documents", if you were successful in getting an roe entry? His experience in his tests indicates that the lack of matching quotes might be the reason why it fails for him under these test circumstances. As I understand it, when this is used as you designed it as an addon, the path it is run from has no spaces so it indeed installs correctly, which is why you have received no complaints. But it does seem that it will be more "correct" if it had matching quotes, doesn't it? Just my opinion. If you are successful getting an roe entry when run from the command line from a path that has a space in it, and Geej is not, then there must be some other differences between your systems or the manner which the two of you are invoking the command that causes the different results. A curious event. Cheers and Regards
  22. We feel your pain, my friend. Cheers and Regards
  23. No record of any such file names or paths on my PC. I'm on here quite a bit, and my install was done over a year ago, so I'm not sure where you came up with that. Let us know what you find out. Cheers and Regards
  24. That file goes where? And how does this tie in with what is discussed here - [http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/10741-efi-boot-optin-for-usb/? Cheers and Regards
  25. So the -ai2 and -ai3 options correctly work as currently posted? Cheers and Regards
