  1. Just take out the "7" Kel, since it does Win8 as well. Cheers and Regards
  2. Very nice, Elmer! When he has the chance, I think Liam should incorporate and include this with Win Toolkit. Kind of continuing the "brand" of Win Toolkit. Cheers and Regards
  3. I think you posted your question in the wrong subforum. Did you mean to ask this in the Win Toolkit subforum instead? Cheers and Regards
  4. Personally, I'm glad to still be using spinning HDD's for now. Cheers and Regards
  5. Sounds good (Since WinKit is taken) Cheers and Regards
  6. I agree - just WinKit. Cheers and Regards
  7. Very Nice, Rick! Short, simple, elegant, to the point, easy to remember, quick to type. Cheers and Regards
  8. So did I. Cheers and Regards
  9. Actually, he did. Cheers and Regards EDIT: LOL - cross posted
  10. I like 'Windows Integration Toolkit' and 'Windows Deployment Toolkit', though since it has tools that can be used on live systems, and not just for deployment, then a name such as 'Windows Administrative Toolkit' or even 'Windows Customizing Toolkit' might be appropriate as well. Cheers and Regards
  11. Oops :embarrassed: LOL Sorry alfreire Cheers and Regards
  12. @ThaNiTeHawK PLEASE, provide a link to the driver you are having problems with or we can't help you. Cheers and Regards
  13. Don't worry. From the MSFN "review" linked to above: And it also works on Win7 as well. Cheers and Regards
  14. From what I've read, and from experience with past versions, I think this is a better choice - Classic Shell 3.5 adds support for Windows 8 - http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/. It is favorably "reviewed" over at MSFN here - http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/156084-get-the-classic-start-menu-windows-8-dp/. It is also Free and Open Source. Cheers and Regards
  15. So this be used to make changes to the CurrentUser in offline systems before it is built? Even though that account doesn't exist before first logon? Or does this only work on active installed systems? Cheers and Regards
  16. @RicaNeaga, have you had a chance to check out the SAD2 script I mentioned earlier? Since you're now talking about adding the drivers at first logon, I was wondering how you thought the script's actions compared with what you were wanting to accomplish? Cheers and Regards
  17. I'm way beyond my comfort zone here, but does this mean the following would work? Install the OS in VM, run DISM with /Remove, sysprep the image, capture the install.wim and then use that to make an install disk? And will this work on Win7? Just a wild thought. Cheers and Regards
  18. I like the idea of this. Cheers and Regards
  19. One way to handle this would be to only integrate the most urgent drivers then use mr_smartepants' SAD2 script - http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5336 to install the rest of the required drivers. This minimizes the time to integrate the drivers but allows the flexibility of the driverpacks. Cheers and Regards
  20. I'm not sure if Legolash2o coded it to require 2.0 or 2.0 minimum. It depends if he checks for existence of/in a particular folder/reg key, or existence of a particular function. Besides, Win7 includes all versions of .NET except 4.0 already, and even in XP the standard installer for 3.5 includes 2.0 and 3.0. Are you one of those that removes parts of .NET that you don't think you will need, crashfly? if so, you could be a perfect person to tell us if W7T will work without .NET 2.0 installed. If you don't remove any parts of .NET, then I'm curious why you asked the question. Cheers and Regards
  21. Oh I never said it would be smart, and I don't do it, but I know there are people who just want to remove every little thing that they think they don't need. Cheers and Regards
  22. Which is already included in Win7. .NET 4.0 does not necessarily replace the previous versions of .NET, and the added features of .NET 4.0 are not needed for W7T.. So what you're really saying is: "Don't remove .NET and expect W7T to work." Correct? Or if you remove the existing .NET 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 BUT install .NET 4.0, if that is possible, will W7T work correctly? Cheers and Regards
  23. I'm sure Legolash2o must have missed your earlier request to be included. Cheers and Regards
  24. Have you updated BOTH W7T and all apps to the latest version? Cheers and Regards
  25. As far as I know, for all Windows modification/integration tools including RVM Integrator, nLite, Windows 7 Toolkit and any of the others, there is always a risk/likelihood for problems if you try to integrate again on top of a source that was already modified. I think if you start from scratch with a clean source each month, or however often you rebuild your install disk, things will go much smoother. Cheers and Regards
