Adrian Luca Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I want to boot directly into the desktop interface over Start UI screen with (schedule a task) or (regedit) new tweaks if you know Quote
Legolash2o Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Classic Shell (Start Menu) has the option for this. Quote
Saeed Sami Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 there are some complicated ways to do this by modifying the registry or creating a scheduled task attached to the winlogon.exebutthe easiest way is to use the Start8 or Classic Shell which also restores the Windows 7 start menu instead of the Metro Quote
bphlpt Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) Yet another choice is this one - "Windows 7 explorer.exe for Windows 8" discussed here http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/157302-windows-7-explorer-for-windows-8/ - You literally replace the explorer.exe of Win 8 with the one from Win 7. The Metro/Modern screen and apps won't run, and I guess some people won't like that will others will rejoice. To each their own. As far as I know, you can still use Classic Shell on top of this as well. Just another option.Cheers and Regards Edited September 12, 2012 by bphlpt Quote
