BYTE-ME Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Does anybody know approximately how much space the non-enterprise version of Windows 8 takes up after being installed. In other words, is the disk footprint larger or smaller than the 26-32GB that Windows 7 takes up before apps are installed. Quote
ricktendo Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I have not had it installed long enough to notice. Will only switch to Windows 8 if I can get a WMC upgrade serial Quote

BYTE-ME Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) Yes, I stand corrected, my count included the page and hibernation files. It's about 14-16GB, without those. Edited September 7, 2012 by BYTE-ME Quote
Legolash2o Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Don't forget though that pagefile and hibernate take up a large amount of space and i usually move them to another partition (HDD). Quote
