monkee Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 My system: Win7 Ultimate x64Desired system: Win7 Starter x86Source: clean unmodified Win7 Home Premium x86Win Toolkit 1.4.0.71Symptoms: error showed up when Component remover finished its job and it was time to save/unmount image. After I click Save, I get this: "Error trying to commit image" but when I click OK, it finished properly. I fired it up again afterwards and saw the components were removed.Same thing happens if I choose Registry editor. Not sure about other options (ie., AIO), haven't tried yet. Will do and report back if error repeats.Log below:Title: Windows 7 STARTERErrType: Error (1.4.0.71)Description: Error trying to commit imageException:Exception:Tool Name: Component Remover (1.4.0.71) (Windows 7 STARTER)Image Name: Windows 7 STARTERArgument: /Unmount "C:\WinToolkit\Mount" /commitWIM File: E:\WIN7STARTER\SOURCES\install.wimMount Logging: TrueDrive Type: FixedFree Space: 61.02 GBIsReady: TrueFile Exists: TrueDirectory Exists: TrueFiles:Directories:Setting taskbar ProgressSetting taskbar ColourDumping RegistryDetecting cause of error #1Detecting cause of error #2Detecting cause of error #3Detecting cause of error #4ImageX Tool for WindowsCopyright © Microsoft Corp.
