grant3 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) I added several "setup.exe" files in different directories to the silent installer. When I integrate the project they are all thrown into the same directory and inevitably most are overwritten. Furthermore, the files from the source directories (when included) are comingled.Identically named files should be given separate directories (e.g., \setup, \setup1, \setup2, etc) so they will not clash Edited September 20, 2012 by grant3 Quote
Legolash2o Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Thanks for reporting. I'll have a look when I get back home and eaten. I already have some idea of how I can fix it so shouldn't take long at all Quote
Simpuhl Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 instead of all installers going in same folders they should have there own directories Quote
Legolash2o Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Technically they shouldn't be all names setup and should be given a name such as 'CCleaner','7zip', WinRAR', etc.. if items with the same name exists then a _1, _2, etc... will be appended.I've only half fixed it so far because i've been ill (still not 100% better). crashfly Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Maybe a different way of doing this would be possible. Legolash2o, could you give the user the option to pick the directory names they go in? (And then give a warning if any of the directory names are the same.) Quote
Legolash2o Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I've just implemented the last of this fix and it should be ok now I'm just going to check if you can edit the names by clicking on them directly in the list, if not i'll make it possible. Quote
