Etz Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Using tweak to enable 64-bit WMP removes all WMP shortcuts from start menu and also from taskbar. Quote
Legolash2o Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Just made some changes, just sit back and wait for v72 Quote
Legolash2o Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 What happens when you just use this tweak and nothing else. No updates, no removals, no drivers, etc... Quote
Etz Posted October 5, 2012 Author Posted October 5, 2012 (edited) Exactly the same happens. WMP itself is preserved, but all shortcuts referring to it are gone. Edited October 15, 2012 by Etz Quote
Legolash2o Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Not sure where to start with it if I'm honest. Are the shortcuts still on the start menu but just don't work or have they completely gone? Quote
Etz Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) They are completely missing...all other Shortcuts are in place only WMP ones are gone.If that tweak isnt used, also WMP icons are where they should be.If it cannot be fixed, maybe you could create "workaround" so Shortcuts are actually re-created? :g: Edited October 17, 2012 by Etz Quote
Legolash2o Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 no ideas, if i new exactly what unregmp2 /SwapTo:64 does then yeah i could probably fix it. If i follow the instructions from a website for the tweak, it doesn't even work (Win8) and still uses 32bit mode :/I will probably have to remove the tweak. Quote
Etz Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 (edited) I could provide you info how to create shortcut to desktop for it, via reg key...Unfortunately it doesnt help for star menu and taskbar, as WMP doesnt have separate registry keys for those. EDIT: If you decide to remove it, then ist fine...so far it creates a feeling like it completely removed it, for novice users. Edited October 31, 2012 by Etz Quote
Etz Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 Add this into that tweak to get at Desktop icon for WMP.[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\UserOptions]"DesktopShortcut"="yes" Quote
Etz Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 Is it only me, or this tweak got removed from 1.5.x.x versions... :g:If it so, maybe Legolash2o can PM me how it exactly was enabled on older versions, so I could Include my "own tweak" when building image?Actually I always used it, because then only one set of codecs were needed.
