Geej Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Thanks for this great tool.I have been using this feature and I noticed that if I tried to edit an existing .WA addon by removing some shortcut/files, the shortcut and files still remain in the .WA packageedit: Oops, I think I post in the wrong thread... on this part. These are some limitations I observed.Same shortcut name cannot be more than 1 (such as placing same.lnk on desktop & Start menu) in the .WACopy Folder : cannot have same folder name (eg. to program files and appdata dir) in the .WAIs the file path within the .WA shortcut always point to C:\.... What if %systemdrive% is D: during installation?Cheers Quote
Legolash2o Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Thank for the bump, I will look into this today for you. Quote
*Reaper* Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Hey Geej...The copy folder is not a problem...If you have 2 folders that are the same name you would do it like this.[CopyFolder]Inno Setup 5::Program Files (x86)Inno Setup 5a::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs*Inno Setup 5Just simply rename one of the folders to like my example... i added the "a" at the end of it...Then at the end of the line "Start Menu\Programs*Inno Setup 5"When the toolkit install this it will rename the folder back to "Inno Setup 5"On the shortcut issue.... Try the same thing... Have 2 shortcuts and rename one of them using the method above..Of course you would use the [CopyFile] directive...I have personally use the copyfolder version of this and it works fine... Have never tried using it under the copyfile, but I thinkit should work.. Quote
Geej Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Reaper, thanks for the tips. I coincidently also add a "A" at the end of folder (only that I use bigcap A)And thanks to Legolash2o for looking into delete issue. Quote
Geej Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 I have been using this feature and I noticed that if I tried to edit an existing .WA addon by removing some shortcut/files, the shortcut and files still remain in the .WA packageJust wondering if problem has been fixed.Best regards Quote
Legolash2o Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Oh completely forgot about that haha, It'll get sorted not sure today though.Just so you know, you can now have the same file going to multiple destinations if you split each pack with a '|' (straight back/forward slash not a capital i) Quote
Geej Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Ha ha, sure. Not a big problem. Will wait.I still have workaround despite this little flaw. Thanks Quote
Geej Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 bumpJust to feedback the 'remove' button still does not work in Addon Maker tab ('file' sub-tab) (version tested is beta)I have not to tested Folder sub-tab or reg sub-tab. But I doubt it is resolved. Is it resolve? If yes, which version of WTK? Quote
Legolash2o Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 The remove button works fine for me. Please give me exact instructions on how you replicate this, thanks. Quote
Geej Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 You can replicate like this.Download an .WA addon and open it using WTK.Then follow the steps in the below image(Same issue on v.1.4.0.77 & beta_test19)Hope that makes sense... Quote
