Posted November 2, 201212 yr Do you guys think I should release v1.5.0.1 as it already contains many fixes? After which I will continue updating my code. What do you like or hate about v1.5.0.1 so far?
November 2, 201212 yr Voted "Yes"I just did another test, this time with test_36, older presets works, all addons and hotfixes integrated correctly. What else I need? Thanks Lego!
November 2, 201212 yr Author I'm no where near the code refactoring that i mentioned about 2 weeks ago haha, so i hope you guys see the benefits already? i.e. faster startup

November 2, 201212 yr why not serg? Excuse me, I probably rushed to the voting, did test_36 all additions and corrections are integrated correctly. Takin it back. Thank you very much for this wonderful program.

November 3, 201212 yr Maybe you should release "stable" beta builds. (Yes I realize that is an oxymoron.) Essentially Legolash2o, you work on whatever it is you need to change (in small increments), then release that as the next beta build. If people report issues, keep working on that section until it works like you want it. Personally, I think you are doing a great job, so however you really want to do it will always be your choice.
November 3, 201212 yr So soon. :g: I'm more inclined to agree with crashfly on this one. 1.4.0.77 is rock solid. i'm not so sure about 1.5.0.1. Another Beta release would be cool. I'll run, for the first time an exhaustive test with the latest beta this weekend and post my results, and change my vote accordingly. My test will include:1. 300+ Updates (w/ Recommended Additions from KUC Windows 7 x64)2. 10+ Addons (Mostly Reapers releases)3. 10+ Installers and SFX (Mostly from the Installer Repacks forum + a few of my own)4. 10+ Tweaks (presets and custom)5. No Gadgets (for security reasons)6. No Themes (it's too much eye candy)7. No Language Packs (because I never use them)That's about it. I'll post my session files and results over the weekend. See you then. Edited November 3, 201212 yr by dotfusion
November 3, 201212 yr Author I wanted to release this specific BETA as it has many fixes. Then i'll work on 1.5.0.2 for while and then when we vote to release that then I will do.EDIT: THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO REPORT BUGS, MAKE A NEW TOPIC AND POST THE ISSUE IN THERE :ranting: :ranting: :rtfm: :rtfm:
November 3, 201212 yr Just made a build with test 36, tested it in VM, and everything seems ok. I'll also install it on a live system and report back. So voted yes. However, maybe you'll take a look at three ''important'' posts first, Lego, with hopefully small bugs/requests... one, two and three.
November 3, 201212 yr I have voted yes, but i would like to see this added:Adding Microsoft Update and disabling System Restore Edited November 3, 201212 yr by mooms
November 5, 201212 yr yes, but please make it so you don't have to keep clicking ok when removing metro apps under component removal. It gets quite annoying.Thanks.
November 6, 201212 yr That's a message I accidentally left in during my testing, oopsUh huh ... likely story. I think you just wanted to have a little fun with us. :crying_anim02: (Just kidding.)Sometimes I think the developers get to have all of the fun.
November 6, 201212 yr oo and also can you make it so that for the advanced component remover (not AIO) part we can save our selections to a settings file and restore back. It would make crap removal testing alot easier!

November 8, 201212 yr win toolkit 1.4.77 is best for windows 7 but not for windows 8 in many area .. component remover almost fail with windows 8 only tweaks working and other area to ... i hope in up coming version 1.5 improve ... and last when 1.5 beta version coming ...Win Toolkit 1.4.0.77 was released with a focus on Windows 7 SP1 and not so much for Windows 8, so the errors your experiencing in component removal are to be expected. From what I understand from the developer, 1.4.0.77 has gone [stable] and their will be no furhter releases of the 1.4 branch. (Lego, correct me if i'm wrong).I'm sure that WT 1.5 will blossome into a solid tool just as 1.4 has. Looking forward to it's release. Keep up the good work lego! :prop: Edited November 9, 201212 yr by dotfusion
November 9, 201212 yr I'm also excited about this 1.5 stable release for Win7 and still keeps hope about an incoming 0.1 alpha for Win8 :dancing:Thanks again for the amazing work
November 9, 201212 yr Author Sorry if i haven't replied in a couple of days, I worked so much on Win Toolkit i've gotten a bit behind on my studies
