This has probably been asked loads of times but I'm struggling to do searches at the moment (google is only feeding me crap links!).

I've inherited Office 10 standard and Visio 10. Is it possible to merge these two discs into one and only run off the one installer?

Hi mate, I'm not sure it is possible to do that as even on Techent and MSDN Visio and Project are separated from Microsoft Office package.

Maybe someone will offer solution for this, but I doubt that it is possible :(

Try copying the Visio installer to the \Updates folder - since Office 2010 will not allow for slipstreaming updates as previous versions did; I was told that using the \Updates folder was the method to use.

I'll give that a try Chief! As it is at the moment I've slipped all post SP1 updates into Office but Visio is then asking for (most of) the same updates.

So, I'll try that over the next few days and report back.

Many Thanks to you both.

It is possible, but the process uses a program someone created of questionable legality. The forums over at mydigitallife would help you out on that, but I will not post a direct link here due to this forum's rules. What it is supposed to do is take the downloadable trial versions and combine them into a working install DVD while also changing the "channel" from trail to whatever you need it to be (pro, business, standard, etc). The program itself does not provide a key for you, but there are other questionable programs on that forum.

Therefore, it is possible, just some licenses could be violated.

I was given the legit discs by a friend who inherited them after his father passed on (he's already got his own set ups). So I'll stick to playing with the more legal methods of trying to crash my pc!!
