we have successfully upgraded our board software to the latest version.

Anti-spam sounds nice (not that weve had much these last few weeks)

We don't use that Anti-Spam (long story), we are using a free IPB hook that is working very good. So far, in less than two months it blocked around 4700 spammer registrations.

Yes, forum spam is bad.  I have been well pleased with this forum being able to keep all of the spam posts at bay.  Keep up the great work.

Anybody been having problems editing threads since the upgrade?

Yes, there were some corrupt files issues. If youe experience a problem, refresh the page one or two times and it should be back to normal.

if you go here http://www.wincert.net/forum/forum/176-microsoft-windows-7/ you'll see at the top of the page one topic has 0 views and none of the words 'x replies'. but i think all topics are suppose to have x views, x replies. also if you click on the topic you'll actually see a few replies.

We have disabled the following feature 'Update topic views immediately'. If enabled, the topic views counter will be updated as one loads a topic. If not enabled, the topic views will be written to another table and the topic views updated every 3 hours. This will significantly reduce overhead on the topics table.

 

If you are refering to this topic http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/10770-how-do-i-save-an-entire-oem-theme/ then it is OK, this view refreshes every 3 hours, also there are not replies in that topic.

 

Also, that topic under three pinned topics shows 0 views because it has been moved. Only a redirection link was left in the source forum.

 

What bothers me is only 20 visitors on the forum every 15 minutes, usually it was 80-120. I'm trying to discover if firewall automatically blocked IP ranges due to a possible attack.

actually i was referring to the one above mine. it looked strange with no reply counter. (despite there being replies within)

 

 

but from what you've mentioned it must be normal behavior.  i was not aware that arrow symbol <- meant a moved topic

I've just tried to apply the patch, but I just can't get it to work. Although it's strange, I can normally edit first post in this topic retaining all of the links, but yours just won't work..

 

Update2:

I have copied text from post view to edited post window and now it seems to work normally. Try to edit the post yourself. BTW, if you experience more issues please let me know.

Not sure if this issue has been fixed in our previous update, but now it surely is fixed

yeah, the avatar's previews are gone from all the forums and subforums. Either something wrong to the update process, or to the update to the forum software itself.
