Ive managed to create an addon for VLC using the manual method of compressing and renaming to WA extension, but creating it with the addon maker fails every time.

Are you able to upload the WA file please and post exactly what you did to reproduce this bug.

Sure thing,

 

- I first filled out all of the options on the info tab

- Selected folder containing the VLC files (downloaded the zip version of VLC),selected Program Files folder destination

- Hit save, selected destination of WA file and let it run

 

WA file is only 8 bytes (wtf?): http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/381793/VLC-2-0-5-WA.html

Worked fine for me, however *Reaper* has already made this an addon. http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/8981-vlc-media-player-v2050/

 

*Reaper* does a lot of good work

Strange tho, maybe it's a Windows 8 thing :S, anyway like I said I managed to make the addon the manual way, so it's no biggie.

I have Windows 8 so it's not related to that

This thread can be marked as solved and closed, for I have been able to successfully create a VLC addon with the latest test build.
