Tjuh Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I removed IE9 from a Win7SP1disk along with some other green components and after all those components were removed, IE9 still appeared in the list screen. So I checked it for removal again and finally created an iso. After installation I noticed that Computer Management is not working properly anymore due to this: http://postimage.org/image/cjp7tg4gn/ Same thing happened with the latest test version. Quote
Tjuh Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 I'm pretty sure it has something to do with some of the integrated updates for IE9, because I don't have this issue with the regular refreshed Win7 iso. Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 The exclusive ISOs don't have IE9 but IE10. Quote
Tjuh Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 I meant to say was Internet Explorer in general. I think the component is called Internet Explorer when trying to remove it with the advanced component removal tool. Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Unfortunately DISM manages that removal so I have absolutely no control over how it's removed what-so-ever. Quote
Etz Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 AFAIK tou cannot completely remove IE after upgradeing it, as it contains many integral Windows components also. Quote

Yes I know this, but like I said, I never had a problem removing Internet Explorer b4 with the Win7 refresh ISO from this site. Just with the Januari Exclusive one, because it has some IE updates integrated in it. Quote
bphlpt Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I guess, since you are not going to use IE, you could try removing all the updates to IE first, then try to remove IE itself. Cheers and Regards Quote
