Perhaps I'm a little thick but what is a 'WA' file? I downloaded one of the files and It does not show up  for me in Win Toolkit.

What am I missing here? Best regards, Gideon.

OK Mooms, Thanks. My previous experiences with Add-ons was with .CAB files being added on the 'updates & languages' tab.

Working with the .WA file now and it looks good. Thanks again for the quick reply, Gideon.

4.5 replaces and is much better than 4.0, only reason to install 4.0 is if you are still using XP

I agree but we have an app that breaks with 4.5 and it will be a little bit until it will be fixed. If I were to try this myself, was the .WA compiled by taking all of the changes the 4.5 installer did and replicating that?

yes that is the big picture, but detailing the process will be difficult  :D

That's not an update either  :gleam:

it's the same .NET 4.5.1 install package, but now they publish it officially and to Windows Update Client

Can I integrate this addon in my copy of Windows 7?Because wintoolkit doesn't know this addon

This is not an "add-on".  It is a silent installer.

Hi, Trying for a couple of days now to download this file (.Net 4.5.1 addon) but all I'm getting is 'Public file Busy'. Any suggestions? Do I have to become a premium member on that hosting site?

Regards, Gideon.

Download works fine for me just now.  Check your browser extension settings (I had to temporarily disable my KB SSL Enforcer extension in my Chrome based browser), or try a different browser.

Cheers and Regards

Thanks for the quick reply bphlpt. I updated my IE browser to the latest version and now it's working fine for me.
