Posted May 19, 201311 yr At the end of the install, I get a couple of messages about unregmp2.exe: The program can't start because wmdrmskd.dll is missing from your computer. Any idea? Thank you
May 19, 201311 yr That would depend on how you prepared your install disk, and what programs you added and/or removed. Essentially, we need more information to be able to help you diagnose your problem.
May 19, 201311 yr Author I removed some Windows Media Player stuff. I may need to put back something. I will keep playing and report back what works. Also, WindowsMedia11-KB928788-x64-INTL.exe updates wmdrmskd.dll. Which brings up another question, if I remove a package, when MS has an update (hotfix), will it install the files or not?
May 19, 201311 yr Which brings up another question, if I remove a package, when MS has an update (hotfix), will it install the files or not? Typically, IF you removed a package cleanly and completely, then an update that effects only the files in that package will not be offered or installed. As sort of an example, and a bad one but it should serve the purpose, if you do not have Office installed, then you are not offered updates for Office. Cheers and Regards

May 22, 201311 yr Glad you got it figured out. Of the two you did not remove, one likely had a component something else required to run properly.
May 22, 201311 yr Author Agreed. And thank you btw. I took the recommendation from Jeronimo's packages_xls http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/136837-windows-7-x64-vlite-extreme-removal/ that had "keep" beside a few packages. I don't need the ultimate minimalist Win7 disc, I just want to remove some of the crap. Edited May 22, 201311 yr by Squeeto
