So they want us to believe that Windows 7 is not affected ? I call that bull****, maybe the backdoor is not the same (not in TPM), but I'm sure the USA (and MS) have full access to any Windows computer.

The backdoor can even be implemented in the CPU ( AMD and Intel are US companies after all), so it is maybe in every computer that is connected to the Net.

everything after xp is affected via agreements with Ms and nsa

if I remember correctly, even the Windows XP was charged for this story, by an officer (computer science engineer) of the French army of years and years ago, I remember that many joked that the USA also oversees the Pope ect ect

There's now news articles and document proof over here in USA showing proof of a lot of underhanded crap the nsa has been doing.

I would not feel sorry for Microsoft if the source code for Windows 8 was released like it was back in the NT 3.52 (or was it 4.52?) and Windows 2000. Maybe that's the only way that the big players can be kept in check, our privacy respected and the US Constitution be adheared to in the ideals that the founding fathers intended it to be. I know one thing that I can do and that is to vote out the culprits that are in support of the NSA spying.

I cannot imagine there are many (if any) programmers who do not create built in access to their own program... the question on my mind is whether Microsoft or ANY corporation, really has the option of saying NO to the NSA... (it wouldn't seem prudent if our NSA, is as Ruthless, as they are Hapless...  )
