Etz Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 After experimenting a bit with Windows 8.1 I discovered that tweak doesnt work anymore. It works, if HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive is replaced with HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT in the very same tweak. It would be good to switch it in WinToolkit too. For some odd reason HKCU works if you apply it post install, but not when you integrate it via reg file or use built in WinToolkit tweak. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT works in Windows 7 also so there shouldnt be any setbacks if it gets changed in WinToolkit. Quote

Etz Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Doesnt seem to work, at least Built-in tweak doesnt. Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 It adds to the registry fine but not sure why it's not appearing after install. Quote
Etz Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 OK, will try to debug whats actually going on with this under Windows 8(.1), thanks Will keep you updated aswell, if I discover something interesting. Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 In the latest test i've made it use HKLM instead of HKCU so hopefully that will work Quote
