How can i manual install vista iconsand folders other than icon packager.Can there be a addon for both vista icons(png) and folers.Advabce thanks to members.

You can install them manual. Go to windows explorer/tools/folder options/file types and select file,folder or icon that you wont to change and go to advanced and simply browse wonted icon from there.

I use .res files I make with Restorator to add icons, bitmaps and avi's to shell32.dll and explorer.exe. Then I use a CMD file to automate the process.

But if you can wait awhile Vista Transformation Pack will be out any day now and you can slistream that into your PC (it does the same thing using .res files and cmd)

Thanks Gorki and Ricktendo64 for the advice.Can i install png format icons.Win xp according to literature does not support png.

You can convert the png files to ico files using aveicon
