Posted January 8, 201411 yr Thanks to all for the work that went into this awesome project.Would be nice though if Win Toolkit didn't always open its links in IE.Thus parts of Win Toolkit are not usable for those not using IE.And frustrations for those who use IE only as a last resort. Also, for the Options > Misc tab, would be nice to have a "Start In" folder, instead of having to drill down to your project files every time. Thanks again!
January 8, 201411 yr A start in folder? Sorry that you had to use IE, are sure Chrome is set in 'Default Programs' to open links?
January 8, 201411 yr Author A "Start In" folder or "Projects Folder" if you like. When you say go to import an unattended file or browse for an ISO, would be nice to start in your projects folder. Or just remember last used folder. All links for me start with FF and FF is set as default browser (see attached). Thanks
January 8, 201411 yr Author Is there a special file type that I should check for these internal app links? Thanks
January 8, 201411 yr Personally I go to add/remove windows features and uninstall Internet Explorer WinToolkit should for most instances, remember the last folder opened. I know it does for All-In-One Integrator. Edited January 9, 201411 yr by Legolash2o
January 9, 201411 yr Author Personally I ho to add/remove windows features and uninstall Internet ExplorerPlease explain... "ho"
January 9, 201411 yr Author There is one GIS mapping site that stated IE required and only worked with IE, so that is the only reason I have it. I'll have to see if Chrome browser on Win7 will work for that site -- once I get those installed. All-In-One Integrator remembers what ISOs where already defined, but browse for a new ISO and you are back at My Documents.
January 9, 201411 yr Get an IETab extension for firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ie-tab/

Get an IETab extension for firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ie-tab/Thanks, From that page: "About this Add-on This is a great tool for web developers, since you can easily see how your web page displayed in IE with just one click and then switch back to Firefox." Otherwise, running IE inside another browser just seams so... twisted ? ? There is also an IE Tab for Chrome if you need it. This is the one I use. Cheers and RegardsI will definitely be looking for Chrome extenstions. Thanks

January 11, 201411 yr Author Test 13 fixes your issue, it now detects default browser. Sorry, but still opening in IE. If go to Win Toolkit's Downloads tab and click on GC or Theme Packs, an IE window opens. Using WinToolkit141-29Test_14Are there any registry settings or configuration files that need to be cleared?Nothing else opens IE; but might just be my XP or FF install. Thanks

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\HTTP\shell\open\command\\(default)>> "C:\PathXOZ\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohomeI kept as that to test 15 and it worked like a charm!!Kudos.
January 11, 201411 yr HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\HTTP\shell\open\command\\(default)>> "C:\PathXOZ\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohomeThis explains why it always opened in IE. Cheers and Regards
January 11, 201411 yr Author NOT HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE but HKEY_CURRENT_USERS lol.AHHH,Sorry about that.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\http\shell\open\command\\(default)>> "E:\PathXOZ\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -osint -url "%1"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE was the last one I had used.Your fix worked regardless.Thanks
