pitoloko Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I've generated an `AutoUnattend.xml` file using `Windows System Image Manager` program that is included in the `WAIK` package (now called `ADK` for Windows 8/8.1) to install Windows 8.1 in a unattended way.Now I would like to add an attribute in my `AutoUnattend.xml` file to automatically select the OS Edition that I want to install, to bypass the OS selection screen. I know that this screen can be bypassed 'cause I've seen it in other Unattended Windows ISO's but I don't know how to do it. In the image file that I've uploaded there is the screen that I would like to bypass by automatically selecting the unique Windows image edition that exists in the image (Which is 'Windows 8.1', Core edition).( http://i.stack.imgur.com/eHAz3.png ) And this is my `AutoUnattend.xml` file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"> <servicing> ricktendo Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Instead of /IMAGE/NAME try /IMAGE/INDEX Quote
pitoloko Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) @ricktendo Thanks for comment but you've not gived me any info about what you mean... it's unclear for me I did not see any 'Index' attribute to set in the XML file, I just can see these three: The first attribute (Filename) is clear, I need to put the wim filename. But what is the Group and Imagename for my windows 8.1 Core? I just can find info for set those values for a Windows VISTA image. EDIT: Ok I've found instructions to do what you've said me: ( Changed the value to 'Windows 8.1' and worked fine! ) Full tutorial here: http://misheska.com/blog/2013/07/27/windows-8-automated-install-settings/#disabling-the-select-operating-system-dialog Bye.
