How to display the icons of apk files(android apps) in windows explorer by default in windows 7 and windows 8.1 ?

Right click, and choose open with.

Microsoft does not naturally have the code to deal with mobile google apps. (Why would they?)

I remember this apk files for work to mod/hack my ancient SE mobile phone, long time ago.

You can do windows associate this files with patcher-tools like these ones:

The original sites all are down, so dunno about the origin tools.

(I absolute dunno about legality, pls remove if no allowed content)

 

Or u make it easy and hack/download icon from the original associate program, and create a registry- entry to use this icon for this file-typ
