Testé une intégration hier soir en professionnel x64 : aucune mise à jour prioritaire demandée par WU

En gros c'est à la tête du client 😅

WU asks for 4041083, 4049016, 3185319 (plus MRT)

....

For 3185319 I don't know the reason, but for the other 2:

both include updates for NET-FW 3.5.1 too: may be this is your problem...

Which size have the two asked patches?

Hello,

hello. I am considering building a new rig using an AMD Ryzen 7, summit ridge processor. I have read differing opinions if  windows 7 will work with this processor and corresponding motherboards (b350 chipset). Some have said that it will work but Microsoft somehow blocks updates with this setup. Also read there is an unofficial patch to unblock the updates.

ANY information greatly appreciated!

I can only ASSume that from the no response that no one is running an AMD Ryzen or Intel Kaby Lake processor with windows 7? thanks anyway. I might have to experiment with cheap setup.

Hi,

this patch-day was for me in three steps (WU):

1) WU asks for

KB4462923 replaces KB4457144 and KB2952664

KB4459922 installing KB4457008 for NET-FW 3.5.1 (replaces 4457044) and KB4457016 for NET-FW 4.7.2 (replaces 4457035)

2) After restart WU asks for

KB3177467-V2 replaces KB3177467

3) After restart WU asks for

KB3150513, should be asked only on systems where KB2652664 is installed (MS-info); on my system it has been asked, even if KB2952664 is NOT installed (hidden).

@Thiersee

Thanks for feedback !

I encountereded some problems with my classic VMs, so I need to completely rebuild them. Classic KB3003743 seems to be superseeded in x86 and maybe x64.

In my case, service stack wasn't asked, but KB3150513 was at first WU. I've updated hidden KB list from the VBS script. Are you sure that KB2652664 is removed (I never include it).

I'll upload ULs when all will be checked (maybe this WE).

If using the convenience method is this "hidden" kb list correct as of septembers UL's for the telemetry file in the silent list?

hideupdates(0) = "KB2952664"
hideupdates(1) = "KB3021917"
hideupdates(2) = "KB3068708"
hideupdates(3) = "KB3080149"
hideupdates(4) = "KB976932"

@pennsylvaniaron

Just read the post before yours...😉.

@rhahgleuhargh

I did not (yet) install fresh VMs, I updated the old ones and my working system too: in this case I got first the servicing-stack asked and then KB3150513.

It's not installed and hidden with the vbs-script.

May be I can test a VM tomorrow (if I get the time....).

@Thierse

I can can confirm the extact bahavior with the 3 steps..  KB2952664 isn't installed but KB3150513 is asked...  So should I decline it?

Yes, it's a telemetry related update. The surprise is that it's an old update (2016).

regarding KB3150513

it's requested because it depend on telemetry components existence, not KB2952664 itself
and KB2952664 contents are now included in Monthly Rollup

Wrong Info from MS, as usual...

Prerequisites

This update will be offered only if the following prerequisite updates are installed:

Or you mean, it happens because the component KB2952664 is now built-in in the monthly rollup and the request comes after the rollup has been installed?

@rhahgleuhargh

It seems not to be.

I've just installed W7-Pro x64 Italian without KB4457044: after restart WU asks for KB4457918 with a size of 22.3 MB: this is exact the size of KB4457044!

Installed KB4457044 manually and WU does not ask anymore for it.

Have a nice WE, Thiersee
