The next step for me is to try it with your exe files and switches.

P.S. Thanks for uploading them, much appreciated.

Worked fine for me. Are you installing it from USB or DVD?

post-10183-0-81546300-1395569353_thumb.p

EDIT: Hmm, i think it only the first one installed. The rest displayed an error and made RunOnce close itself.

EDIT: I believe the first one try to make the entire thing restart. You need to add /norestart after the .NET 4 ones i think.

The silent installer doesn't work for me since 1.4.34.2. i don't even see it's popping up for a second. i copy the DRIVERS folder onto  %SYSTEMDRIVE% with $$OEM$$\$1, but nothing happens. its only LAN, Mass and USB3 Drivers. but nothing happen at logon. in old 1.4.34.2 it worked. nothing changed until now

Posted (edited)

i mean with DRIVER folder in $$OEM$$\$1 on windows dvd sources folder. after installation DRIVERS folder is on %SYSTEMDRIVE%. this way it worked without problems in version 1.4.34.2. nothing else i had to be done. silent installer installed the drivers on logon and everything was fine. now it doesn't work anymore

Edit:

Did you made any changes and previous RUNONCE installations via SETUPCOMPLETE.cmd made silent-installer real silent ?  :D

Edit:

If i go to system32 folder and start silent installer manually it works

oh no. my problem is extracted drivers with inf files doesn't install from silent installer. in wintoolkit v1.4.34.2 it worked without problems. in newer versions it didn't

I don't even remember ever having inf support lol. I never used setupcomplete.cmd  :P

can you attach or upload your setupcomplete.cmd please. I think I only used to to remove the reboot at the end of it.

no the inf's are in the subfolder of DRIVERS with its drivers. like this : DRIVERS\USB3\ASMEDIA\xxx.inf

Edit: DRIVERS\USB3\ASMEDIA\xxx.inf   <- this i copy into sources\$OEM$\$1 on Win7 DVD. looks like that : sources\$OEM$\$1\DRIVERS\USB3\ASMEDIA\xxx.inf

After SETUPCOMPLETE does his job and RunOnce SCOMPLETE did, your silent-installer installed the drivers. now on last versions of wintoolkit it didnt. when i look into root of %SYSTEMDRIVE% folder DRIVER and hit content is there

oh it seems like a misunderstanding. all within $OEM$\$1 will be copied to %SYSTEMDRIVE% -> C:\

after installation and first login looks like this  C:\DRIVERS\USB3\ASMEDIA\xxx.inf

Edited by Snow

now i did another test. packed DRIVERS\USB3\ASMEDIA\xxx.inf into 7zip-SFX which is executed by SETUPCOMPLETE.cmd and extracts DRIVERS\USB3\ASMEDIA\xxx.inf on %SYSTEMDRIVE%. same result: it didn't work. looks similar to $OEM$\$1 method. C:\DRIVERS\USB3\ASMEDIA\xxx.inf. now when i go to Windows\System32 folder and double click on your WinToolkitRunOnce.exe drivers will be installed. i haven't got any idea what's going wrong.

@Lego

Ok i will do another test with DRIVERS folder in root of Win7-DVD

@Cartman586

Guten Morgen. Ja ich versuch mich hier mal mit meinem Schulenglisch  :icon_cool:  :D

Posted (edited)

thanks for your notice. now it's only for testing with a few drivers to see if your RunOnce.exe will be doing what I (!!! :gleam:  :D ) want. later when driver collection is completed root of another drive on harddisk or usb-stick is better solution

DRIVERS folder on Win7-DVD root doesn't work like all other methods. i think anything in SETUPCOMPLETE breaks the execution of your WinToolkitRunOnce.exe. in build 1.4.34.2 of wintoolkit it works. it executed immediately after the RunOnceEx SETUPCOMPLETE does.
