"Not integratable" updates KB2533552 & KB2603229

Hi volks,

 

this is not a bug, I only want to understand, how and why it happens.

 

I tried today the WUD with the list from user rhahgleuhargh (post #342), modified for german and italian: no issues, no difficulties, but:

 

1) I deleted KB2533552 and KB2603229 from "Silent-Installers+SFX" (WKT puts them there), but during integration KB2533552 goes back to the "Silent Installers"!

2) KB2603229 (deleted from Silent Installers!) is integrated with the "normal" updates!

Can somebody explain this "strange" behavior?

    KB2533552 cannot be integrated offline, this is by design from MS

    exclusive="true" allowedOffline="false"

    KB2603229 however, can be integrated (offline or online), but this will make it just a null entry in the updates list, it doesn't allow the actual fix to be applied (updatewowregisteredowner.exe)
    therefor, it must be executed online directly by using the .msu file (double-click)

    I know that, but this was not my question ;).

     

    My question was, why does WTK bring KB2533552 back to the Silent-Installer, after I deleted it from there.
