ThuGie Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 It seems that wintoolkit sometimes has problems deleting the temp file.I had trouble intergrating language packs kept crashing, i restarted my pc, and even re-installed and that did not solve it.I also noticed after i normaly started and then directly closed wintoolkit it would try to clean the files of before and then hang and crash, and it said it was cleaning temp files.I found the location and deleted them by hand, I did got asked for permissions and i agreed, then i deleted it and it worked again.Had this problem on a windows 7 home premium and my own system windows 8.1 Hope this can be solved. Also seem to be having trouble intergrating language packs after i already installed other updates.Installing language packs first then installing the updates seems to be solving the problem. But that might be just a windows thing though. © KEiGHT Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 You have to close all files and folders from temp folder created by Wiltoolkit if you want to be cleaned correctly ! Quote
ThuGie Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 I would assume, if i restart my pc.. nothing is holding anything in memory from the wintoolkit temp files.Even after i have restarted my pc, boot wintoolkit and then directly close it, wintoolkit will crash, while failing to remove the temp files it created the session before. And it will keep crashing on closing + on trying to slipstream files into it, unless i clean the temp files myself. ThuGie Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Why yes yes i do.I would assume if i did not, wintoolkit would still not function properly after deleting the temp files. You realize i am not here for support, but making a report about a bug right ? It is currectly working correctly for me, after i deleted the temp files by hand. This has happened on multiple systems for me, so doubt its my pc, and assume its a problem within wintoolkit that might need to be fixed. As normaly you wont directly notice, it are the temp files that are causing wintoolkit to crash. So perhaps more people have had trouble with this without really knowing what was causing it. Quote
