Posted July 5, 201410 yr I'm testing translation and I was wondering if someone could translate the following file into their language? UPDATE Test H released with everyone's translationsro-RO (romanian)it-IT (Italian)pt-BR (Brazilian)en-US (English)That should be enough for my testing so no need to translate anymore files. Feel free to check them out and let me know of any issues, mis-alignments, etc.. Thank you everyone!LangFile.zip
July 6, 201410 yr Hi Lego, My question is important because of our German umlauts:Is notepad.exe (ANSI) sufficient for editting the TXT file? BTW: win-lite.de has been revived! Regards, Nemo
July 6, 201410 yr When I write batches (*.bat, *.cmd) I can't use notepad.exe (ANSI !). I use pspad.exe with OEM characters. Which editor do you use?
July 6, 201410 yr Author I just used notepad I did save it as UTF-8 and it still worked fine. It's actually a CSV file renamed to .txt so that i could attach it.
July 6, 201410 yr Here is Romanian resource.txt Opened and edited in Notepad. I think here you messed up a little. I corrected in the translation.WinToolkitv2.g.en-US.resources:frmmain.baml,btnMSUtoCAB:System.Windows.Controls.Ribbon.RibbonButton.Label,None,True,True,,MSU to CAB ConverterWinToolkitv2.g.en-US.resources:frmmain.baml,btnMSUtoCAB:System.Windows.Controls.Ribbon.RibbonButton.ToolTipDescription,None,True,True,,"Converts *.EXE version of language packs into *.cab so that they can be integrated.*Can result in quicker integration time."WinToolkitv2.g.en-US.resources:frmmain.baml,btnMSUtoCAB:System.Windows.Controls.Ribbon.RibbonButton.ToolTipTitle,None,True,True,,Update MSU to EXE WinToolkitv2.resources.dll_ro-RO.txt Edited July 6, 201410 yr by ianymaty
July 6, 201410 yr Author Thanks I've corrected and also uploaded v2.0.0.7B for you to test Hopefully the Romanian will work!! EDITȘ Correction. v2.0.0.7C
July 6, 201410 yr Oh, the diacritics don't show correctly. I use a US keyboard and I think the keyboard was set to Romanian (traditional). Should I set it to Romanian (standard)? Also there is a Romanian (programmers). Which one I should use?
July 6, 201410 yr Author I have fixed the symbol problem in test C. I have also re-uploaded the txt file with the correction you pointed out and set it to UTF-8 instead of ANSI.
July 6, 201410 yr It looks a little better but it's not fully correct. Still two charactes looks weird. I can't get the new file... I'll try a little later.
July 6, 201410 yr Here Brazilian resource.txt Edit in Notepad2 Hope it works well WinToolkitv2.resources.dll_PT-BR.txt Edited July 6, 201410 yr by xspeed_one
July 6, 201410 yr Author Thanks xpeed. Test D uploaded for you @ianymaty which characters and what should they be? I will fix it manually.
July 6, 201410 yr Hi LegoSpecial characters such as accent marks, do not work properly. I will correct the text and resubmit it again then.
July 6, 201410 yr Author It was my fault. I've uploaded test E. I forgot to change it from ANSI to UTF-8
July 6, 201410 yr Here the new text corrected. Edit. I'm Sorry. I didn't see your reply before. Disregard the new text. Version 'E' work fine!WinToolkitv2.resources.dll_PT-BR.txt Edited July 6, 201410 yr by xspeed_one
July 6, 201410 yr Author Version F has been uploaded with the changes you put in your last attachment
July 6, 201410 yr Here my translation in Italian. Lego,I translated the TXT-file (downloaded today morning, my be 11:00).It's OK or should I translate again, using the CSV-file (If I understand correct UTF-8-Coded, not ANSI).ThierseeWinToolkitv2.resources.dll_it-IT.txt
July 6, 201410 yr In this new text were deleted all the accents, as a way to show the entire text. But the version ' E ' would be better for our language, because it contains all the correct spelling.
July 6, 201410 yr Here's the new Romanian, the csv version Opened and edited in Notepad so I didn't change the encoding. I replaced the charactes with problem. That was Șș Țț that don't looked correct. Hope this will look right.WinToolkitv2.resources.dll_ro-RO.zip
July 6, 201410 yr Author Here my translation in Italian. Lego,I translated the TXT-file (downloaded today morning, my be 11:00).It's OK or should I translate again, using the CSV-file (If I understand correct UTF-8-Coded, not ANSI).Thiersee If i'm honest I'd rather you did the notes on the english version so I can tell what it is you're referring too
July 6, 201410 yr Thiersee, you've added stuff in column H which look like notes? If i'm honest I'd rather you did the notes on the english version so I can tell what it is you're referring too Because you've added your notes, it wont let me use the file. Attempting to fix though Yes, I've put some notes in my translation, but I asked you to have a look at them (here post #5) . But if it's better for you I can put the comment in the english version, no problem!I'll do tomorrow.BTW, if I open the file in Excel almost all the text-lines are written in column A; some lines containing special characters (', apostroph) are written in column A, B and sometimes C.
