Is this integration updates into an Vista image or running Win Toolkit from Windows Vista?

I will integrate this on Windows 7 ;-) but it dosn't work

 

On Windows 7 i will integrate Updates from Windows Vista in Windows Vista

That didn't make sense at all sorry.

I think he is saying that he's trying to mix a vista iso and updates from withing win7.

Ah yeah, I see that now. I got the feeling that DISM v8.x won't work with Windows Vista.

No it won't work on Vista anymore.

Liam, do you have a solution?

Suppose the only way it could be fixed is if a Windows Vista image is being worked with, it will use the local DISM rather than the updated DISM. But it's a Vista image which isn't officially supported by Win Toolkit.

I will be working on Win Toolkit v1 tonight, specifically on how images are handled. If all goes well, it should allow me to easily handle this request

I'm glad you find bugs and lots. Sorry if I haven't replied to any PMs you've sent as I gave up checking them (still get way too many)

Had the same problem long time ago, the host-dism also didnt work, in my case.

My solution: google für getWAIK, then download the Vista-Package and choose the x86 dism.exe in there.

 

But i dont understand why you work on a Vista-Image.

If you use windows, i very recommend to use win7 or win8.1.

This running good also on old winXP-Systems, do upgrade dude.

 

Running faster and its more safer.

And: If you want, you can get vista-look for both systems.

Vista is not so importend.

 

But the Software is the best and it's cool to use Vista too with this

Actually.. i run windows 8.1 x64, and a week or 4 ago,

I was able to slipstream updates into the vista iso without problem.

Still got about 50 updates left, but have not had time to try and get those on it as well.

 

But slipstreaming into vista works just fine..

Yea, mostly of WTK should work with Vista, its nearly like Win7.

I think the most Win7 drivers (integration) should also work on Vista.

Under vista you dont can Open wintoolkit!

One Tip: Use host and image of Win7/8.

Dont use Vista.

WTK not support (official) Vista as Host-System (for running as program) and

WTK not support (official) Vista as Image (for working with Image-Tools)

 

Win7 and Win8/8.1.x does, and are much better systems.

So my tip is, use just one of them instead of vista.

Perhaps if you are trying to intergrate updates into a vista iso from vista it wont work.

But from windows 8.1 i am able to intergrate into Vista,7,8.1 x64/x86 been doing so for a while now no problem what so ever.
