Thiersee Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) .....- Automatically uninstall previous version of Java 8......It does not work for all installations of Java 8, only if the old Java 8-version was installed with the original installer from Oracle. I installed Java 8u11 with the repack-installer from Reapers (http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/7256-java-runtime-environment-8-update-11/) and this has NOT been uninstalled. alan_fox Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 e.g. jre-8u20-windows-dual.exe /sfxlang:1040 Set the installer display language to Italian. Quote

RicaNeaga Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I've extracted your dual installer, and I see there are two .msis inside. I only need a 32 bit installer - is also the .msi inside repacked by you? If I apply to it specific switches for a .msi installer (/quiet etc) will it preserve your settings to disable java update? Thanks Quote

Thanks The two msi files are original from Oracle, no repack settings inside the msi.To disable java update, add the following switches:JU=0 JAVAUPDATE=0 AUTOUPDATECHECK=0 Silently install and disable java update:msiexec /i jre1.8.0_25.msi /qb JU=0 JAVAUPDATE=0 AUTOUPDATECHECK=0 Quote
niTe_RiDeR_Pr0 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) The download is very slow (jre), and solidfiles.com gives a 512KB ad-filled downloader instead of the file, beware! Dont click on the green big download buttons, only click on the 'direct download link' button given!!. (dont forget to disable adblock in solidfiles, instead of hiding the big green download button, it hides the Direct Download Link button!!) please upload on mega.co.nz or google drive or dropbox or copy.com, which are my favourites. Use cloudlinker to get the direct download link out of dropbox and copy.com: http://www.datafilehost.com/get.php?file=af2fe991. I use mega.co.nz. Thanks, Cheers & Regards Edited February 19, 2015 by niT3_RiDeR_Pr0 Quote
niTe_RiDeR_Pr0 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) Hi alan_fox,While making the 7z archive using the 7zip GUI, I would strongly recommend you to make the archive with the following settings:Compression Level: UltraWord size: 273Solid Block Size: SolidParameters: mt=on f=BCJ2 hc=on d=27This compresses even more, from 56MB (your repack's 7z archive) to 40MB (applied & tested with the above given settings). Saves 16MB. Cheers & Regards Edited February 21, 2015 by niT3_RiDeR_Pr0 alfreire 1 Quote
