Win Toolkit v1.5.0.x + Known Bugs

The final version of the v1.x series has been released. My university degree depends on v2.x being successful, so I will be putting all my effort into that.

• 1.4.45.5 - Unable to mount any WIM

I've added more logging to help detect this.

• Win Toolkit Updates

Some old code makes it so that it won't automatically detect v1.5.1.x. This has been fixed in the latest version.

• Theme Pack Integration - Setting Default Theme

I've made some changes in the latest build which hasn't been reported back on yet. Hopefully it is fixed.

UPDATE: Confirmed working in latest test build >= 25.

Exist no legal way to convert Win8.1.1 enterprise eval to standard win 8 pro (trial)?

Iv i start the exe, much times i get this error messages:

 

"Error saving settings: Access to the path

"C:\Users\Zer0\Desktop\WintToolkit_1.5.0.22_Portable\Settings.txt" is denied."

 

Dunno why..

Please tell me (PM) date/time then i come forum and tell you TV data.

(Or its fixed to this time point, thenn i tell you)

Build 26 already has a lot of fixed. It has NOT been released yet.

 

• FIX: WIM Manager now remains responsive whilst extracting ISO
• FIX: WIM Manager now remains responsive whilst copying DVD

Whenever you selected an ISO or DVD Drive in WIM Manager. The GUI said no responding which can be confusing so I've now fixed this so it doesn't look like it has crashed.

• FIX: Removed duplicate WIM Manager DVD message

Whenever you selected a DVD Drive it prompted you twice that it was a DVD drive you had selected.

• FIX: Win Toolkit can now instantly scan for empty folders

Sometimes Win Toolkit scanned all the files/directories of a path just to see if it's total size was > 0. It now just returns whenever it's found a file. 

Note: This should also get rid of A LOT of access denied errors.

• FIX: Win Toolkit no longer tries to delete read-only folders

The CopyDirectory method didn't check to see if the selected directory was read-only. This caused lots of errors.

• FIX: ISO Extraction now checks for free space
• FIX: Copy DVD now checks for free space

ISO or DVD Drive selected prevents selecting a folder where the drive has insufficient space and prompts the user.

• FIX: ISO Extraction now checks for network
• FIX: Copy DVD now checks for network

Removed copying/extracting to a network drive. Purely because it will result in everything being slow during and afterwards when working with an image.

• FIX: Copy DVD now checks for read-only copy directory
• FIX: ISO now checks for read-only copy directory

ISO or DVD drive in selection in WIM Manager now prevents you from selected a read-only folder.

• FIX: Silent Installers should no longer add duplicate entries

Sometimes when working on the same image again. Win Toolkit ended up having multiple items of the same thing. This should hopefully be fixed now.

• FIX: Downloaded tab in Alphawaves Downloader did not update

Whilst downloading. The 'Downloaded' tab did not update but the superseded tab started acting weird, which has also been fixed.

• FIX: Fixed Google default search provider saying corrupted

IE said that the Google default search provider was corrupt. This has been fixed.

• FIX: Duplicated silent installer now rename correctly

Made the code more efficient as sometimes errors (object null or reference) appeared.

• FIX: Extraction error when OK (false positive)

I received logs of 7zip extraction even though at the bottom is said 'Everything is Ok'. That means there wasn't an error.
