Kabutokong Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Hi I'm creating a custom windows 8 iso and I was wondering if there is a way to change the boot screen without boot screen software, via a kind of manual install? What I'm basically wanting is when i install my custom iso the boot screen is already changed without doing it afterwards with the software. Quote
Kabutokong Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 Update Loading up an img in 8oot logo changer and generating a bootres.dll places it in a temporary folder App Data\Roaming\8ootLogoChanger. Then copying the bootres.dll to C:\Windows\Boot\Resoures changes the image during boot. Its possible that placing the bootres.dll in the extracted Windows 8 folder to boot\resources could change it so you see it just before a new installation and every time you boot up. I believe i would have to change all boot files if i want my own custom boot animation or picture. Quote
