and just to be sure I'm doing it right, if this downloads correctly, then what do I do? just burn to a  dvd? and then I can wipe my computer, and reinstall from this disk, correct?  sounds easy, but never is....thanks again! want to do it right the first time!

Yes, burn to DVD, or to USD drive (using Rufus).

But don't just burn the ISO file to DVD. You need to create a bootable DVD from the file (with ImgBurn, Nero or a similar tool).

jan, I downloaded ImgBurn, now I cant find the ISO file I downloaded yesterday.  what now?  I'm just not into this(an oldie) type of stuff; can you walk me thru? thanks, if not, thanks anyway for your input, I value it.

I'm on vacation, and can't generate a new link right now. Use the search box in Windows Explorer to find the Iso file. Enter "Win7_Pro_SP1_English_x64.iso" into it to find the file.
