I lost the reinstallation disk for Windows 7 on my laptop.

I just downloaded the Windows ISO Downloader.exe for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM. I want to reinstall Win7 on my laptop.

I put the file on a USB stick and put the stick into the laptop, but the laptop doesn't see the stick.

So how do I use the Downloader.exe file? Do I just run it? Do I have to burn it to a DVD? I'm not sure what to do with it.

Yes, you first run the downloader to get your Windows image. You can then write the file to USB stick with Rufus, and install Windows from that stick.
