Jan Krohn Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Unfortunately MS has managed again to block the ISO Downloader from generating download links for Win 7 and Office 2010. It is still unclear whether it is a temporary block, or whether my collection of product keys, that generate the links in the background, has been completely burned. As for now, I'm pausing link generation for the next 24 hours, before re-starting it with a massive throttle. Cached download links of the past 24 hours remain accessible until they expire. In the mean time, you can either download the files from DELL (multi-lingual), or use the recently leaked updated Win 7 images (English only): Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit https://download.microsoft.com/download/1/E/6/1E6B4803-DD2A-49DF-8468-69C0E6E36218/7601.24214.180801-1700.win7sp1_ldr_escrow_CLIENT_ULTIMATE_x86FRE_en-us.iso Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit https://download.microsoft.com/download/5/1/9/5195A765-3A41-4A72-87D8-200D897CBE21/7601.24214.180801-1700.win7sp1_ldr_escrow_CLIENT_ULTIMATE_x64FRE_en-us.iso Win 7 Pro 32 bit https://download.microsoft.com/download/C/0/6/C067D0CD-3785-4727-898E-60DC3120BB14/7601.24214.180801-1700.win7sp1_ldr_escrow_CLIENT_PROFESSIONAL_x86FRE_en-us.iso Win 7 Pro 64 bit https://download.microsoft.com/download/0/6/3/06365375-C346-4D65-87C7-EE41F55F736B/7601.24214.180801-1700.win7sp1_ldr_escrow_CLIENT_PROFESSIONAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit https://download.microsoft.com/download/E/D/A/EDA6B508-7663-4E30-86F9-949932F443D0/7601.24214.180801-1700.win7sp1_ldr_escrow_CLIENT_HOMEPREMIUM_x86FRE_en-us.iso Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit https://download.microsoft.com/download/E/A/8/EA804D86-C3DF-4719-9966-6A66C9306598/7601.24214.180801-1700.win7sp1_ldr_escrow_CLIENT_HOMEPREMIUM_x64FRE_en-us.iso These images include all updates up until August 2018 including (warning!!) the Windows 7 telemetry updates. These downloads will be included in the next version of the ISO downloader. The future of the normal Win 7 downloads depends on whether my key collection will start working again after a few days of cool down period. If they do, we will be able to provide a few language editions per product (about two to five different languages at a time, determined by community demand). If the key collection is burned, I will let it cool down for about six months, and then try again to provide a few language editions per product (possibly obtaining more product keys in this time frame, to be able to add very few downloads back before the six months are up). I will give an update after the weekend to let you know which of these two possibilities is the case. The next release of the ISO downloader is planned for some time next week, including the Win 7 August 2018 updates, as well as some highlighting in the languages dropdowns for Win 7 and Office 2010 to indicate which languages are currently available. almody1234 1 Quote
Jan Krohn Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 Here's an update on the situation: My key collection only received a temporary block. I can again generate downloads, however, still at a highly throttled rate. I just received a very generous donation of a total of 38 keys for Office 2010, which I will add to the application tomorrow. Once this is done, the downloader will be able to provide the number of language editions per product at any point in time as indicated (the current number in parentheses): Win 7 Home Basic: 5 Win 7 Home Premium: 1 Win 7 Pro: 2 Win 7 Pro Upgr: 2 Win 7 Ult: 1 Win 7 Home Premium OEM: 4 Win 7 Pro OEM: 1 Win 7 Ult OEM: 1 Office 2010 H&S: 17 (6) Office 2010 H&B: 8 (6) Office 2010 Pro Academic: 1 Office 2010 Personal: 1 Visio Premium: 1 Office 2010 H&S TechG: 1 Office 2010 Pro TechG: 21 (10) Excel 2010 TechG: 1 Obviously, I'm very eager to obtain more keys to improve this poor statistic. If you have keys to sell or to donate, please get in touch. Quote
SnowBall Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Nice, also don't forget you can build your own ISO image that match the original hash using CDIMAGE when the edition and language you need is missing. Also, bit of spamming but here is my collection of Windows 7 ISO images downloaded from TechBench a few years ago. If anybody need it, send me a message. If anybody need it, send me a message. Thanks for the generous offer! Version 8.04 is out now that displays available language editions in green in the dropdown (as selected by community voting). Around middle of next week, I'll do a test run to reduce the throttling. Maybe after a bit more cooling down, the key collection will recover. The new keys that I received are definitely behaving a bit more graciously, and permit generation of a download link about every 12 hours. So maybe it's possible to increase the number of available language editions by 100%. Quote
mooms Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 For Win7, you could explain that removing the file ei.cfg will make any iso a "multi edition" or "universal" disc. Maybe adding the function in the app could be a good idea. Kai Liu have developed some utilities for that: http://code.kliu.org/misc/winisoutils/ Check ei.cfg Removal Utility, it is released under BSD license and the source code is in the zip file. Quote
SnowBall Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 It is better to rebuild the ISO using CDIMAGE and it will match the original hash. You can remove ei.cfg but that does not give you the original ISO. Also, it is already in the ISO Downloader. Regards, SnowBall Quote
mooms Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 I didn't knew the downloader already had the functionality. I don't see the point to match the original hash, the original file was downloaded from Microsoft so we already know it's legit. Quote
Jan Krohn Posted March 11, 2019 Author Posted March 11, 2019 Restoring ei.cfg will also restore the image to match the original hash. Technically, it's just a difference of one bit (plus a different CRC checksum for the file table entry), and therefore very easy to undo. Quote
SnowBall Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Yeah, I know. The whole purpose of rebuilding your ISO using CDIMAGE is for those perfectionist who wants the ISO to be 100% legit and original for collection purposes. If you are just trying to repair a computer, patch out a few bytes to remove ei.cfg and it should be fine. ~The good old days when TechBench is still online... You can download everything in almost all languages.~ Regards, SnowBall Quote
