HMMM If you have SP3 (which I have also) you don't need the wlan hotfix, its already included.

Why you are getting this error must be because wlanapi.dll has been deleted from system32

You uninstall the sidebar from add remove programs

you say sp3 has the hotfix on it, this probably sounds stupid, and i really havent seen if there is a sp3 for x64, but if there is would the sidebar then work, once alky is installed??

I'm running XP SP3 too and I'm having the same problems as zodiac. Are there any workarounds at this point of time?

One question: Is there any way I could make it so the Sidebar will not minimize when I use the 'show desktop' function?

Also, sometimes when I just simply click on the desktop the sidebar minimizes itself.

Try minimize with: Windows key+M

cause Windows key+D (or "Show Desktop" quick button) will show you ONLY DESKTOP, so, all is minimized.

BTW this is where the gadget gets installed to:

i have installed sidebar styler.. the sidebar skin changed but the Gadget Gallery remain the same.. i want it to be look like vista.. i have downloaded .NET 3.0.. what will i do?

WSS cannot skin the gallery (except the buttons) you need WB, Vystal or TrueTransparency to achieve the glass borders

I was wondering about a dll error I get after integrating the sidebar, it

has error only when I'm installing or running certain apps. For example I can't install Power Producer

as the dll error pops up. The exact name of the dll I can't exactly remember, but it starts with a p*.dll.

hey i just downloaded the new sidebar. it seems that everything is working fine except my weather gadget. it never displays any weather correctly, it just stays on the screen "getting data...". my internet is working fine and i already tried replacing the 'wlsrvc.dll' file and it didnt work.

any ideas on how to get it to shw? thanks.

Did you right click on wlsrvc.dll and patch vista library?

Drag and drop wlsrvc.dll into regsvr32.exe in the same dir.

Literaly with the mouse grab and drag wlsrvc.dll onto regsvr32.exe
